Agree with you 100%-watching a funeral is so boring yet millions will be glued to their TV etc to watch a group of Royals and a few others sticking 2 fingers up to the rest of us who abide by the Covid guidelines.

I wonder if Dominic Cousins has been drafted in to provide "expert" advice.

I'm a republican mate and I do find that inaccurate. I don't see myself as anyone's subject and whilst it's sad someone died, that for me is where it ends. So that's one of the entitled youth of today that's proven you wrong

 

I lived in a different generation, believe me there is an entitlement with the youth of today that didnt exist 20 to 30 years ago. Not every youth, that would be factually incorrect but a hell of a lot of them.

Young people are working harder and longer hours than ever because they have to, otherwise they'll go under and have to give up their life and move back home. It's not recent either, 15 years of this shit.

You are of course right but she still has to approve and appoint the Prime Minister and he must report to her weekly, Mostly her duties are ceremonial but they are still enshrined in our Laws and of course she is head of the armed forces through the government of the day, The Royal family gave up political control in exchange for the guaranteed existence of the Royal family and keeping the Royal estates and financial support and to continue as head of state,

 

Well I've clearly said that isn't how I think of myself so I don't understand why you're saying that to me?

I understand the differences and I still think the monarchy is pointless and anachronistic. There has also been a few bits come out recently that show the monarch has more power than people previously thought.

 

Literally all of his mates have told me the same or similar. no trev, people from about 1990-2008 never had it so good. the financial crash fecked it for the rest of us and we have been backsliding by almost every conceivable metric ever since

 

Untortunatly if you bought before the finacial crash you paid top $ as I know from purchasing the bungalow next door for my daughter, if you're trying to get on the property ladder post the financial crash you have to have a large deposit, but we are seeing mortgage lenders giving mortgages at less than a 10% deposit, unfortunatly house prices are once more going through the roof post brexit/covid.
