Wonder where they are planning on playing next season if they get promoted

I'd like to see us keep Billy Clarke. He was very underrated in the playoff final season and would be more than good enough for League 2. He also has more desire to play for the club than anyone else except maybe Caddis

 

I'd keep Billy...we'll need 11 bricksheet houses but one player with a bit of trickery wouldn't go amiss?

 

PP, Hurst or Rowet for me-I remember his Burton side from the playoffs but I wouldn’t be mad at Bowyer if he can do a rebuild and has the chance.
Since we’re buggered anyway can we send Payne back and save a few quid?

 

I wonder if savings can be made via match appearances, bonuses via goals etc.

Absolutely need to win every game but your thinking is for defensive cover. Or is that based upon something GB said?

 

I would very much doubt it's that easy just to send him back.

 

I agree Dave. If it was and was merely on a cost cutting basis, I would send all the loanees back with the exception of David Ball. I want to retain Ball, the others simply won't sign for us nor have we a realistic chance of signing.

 

He wanted to play young OCONNOR so he had to leave Payne out because of the number of loans

Maybe, I'm trying to read between the lines when their is nothing to read.

 

The reason we signed O'Donnell from Northampton will be the same reason he won't be with us next season if we go down.

 

For a contracted player to leave another club has got to want him. Unless he wants to be a bench warmer O'Donnell will be with us next season.

 

I disagree. Much depends on the contents of the contract.

Question - why did he leave Northampton?

 

Because it was his lifelong dream to play for City. Well, he said something along those lines when he signed!!!

 

Don't they all, even Gary Bowyer made a similar comment in one of his radio interviews, and to be fair has praise the support the fans have given, as he did again after Saturdays game.

 

I read it’s because of the loan rule. Would have made more sense to me, if Miller had got more game time. If Miller is in the team purely because of his pace, then play Patrick instead and put Payne on the bench.

 

And he had heard they buy pizza whilst waiting to sign your contract.
