Preparation for league 2

Under contract if the club remained in League one. I'm guessing O'Donnell, Riley, Doyle, Akpan maybe others will have relegation clauses in their contracts.

 

He is not the reason we are going to be relegated but neither has he the ability to help us, He had one year as manager of Blackpool and got them promoted via the play offs and then left the season after with the team not doing much so a one season wonder he has had no success anywhere else, He is not what we need and if appointed next season the decline will continue

 

Sorry, still dont get your reasoning. He had 2 good seasons at Blackpool. You cannot get away from that.

Bowyer’s been here 3 games and he’s working with the dross he inherited. He wont going anywhere before the end of the season and if he’s any sense it will be him that decides he’s walking away at the end. And just to clarify Hirst won’t be coming anywhere near us, why would he want to come to this shambles of a club.

Would not surprise me. If Mr Rupp is prepared to write off his investment in the club then this would appear inevitable?

 

Might make sense, if a buyer is lined up and Rupp is willing to write off what’s he’s put in.

Unless there’s very serious change then we won’t be back in league one for years.

 

We need to get next season's manager locked down ASAP.

To be honest, if it was Hopkin, Bowyer, Parky, McCall, literally, I don't care - let them build the team that suits THEM, let them sign the players THEY need, and let's get on with League Two.

Chances are, we're not going to bounce straight back, but we'll be in deep, deep trouble if we just keep bouncing from one geezer to the next, not allowing (or nobody wanting) to build their OWN team.

 

Firstly, ownership and financial stability to sort followed by manager and staff, then squad. Cannot see it happening though. Miserable shambles caused by Brexit sorry zee Germans ...

 

To be fair this is largely what has been reported over the past few weeks and for this ta Mr Rupp - but what nobody at the club is providing is any sign of leadership and commitment beyond this season (which is nearly over)

 

Who is it we need then, bearing in mind were skint so the new incumbent would be either untried or out of work. Unfortunately the manager isn't the problem it's the tools he has to work with.

Clubs have given managers countless millions to sign players seeking success and still failed because of backing a poor manager, While others have spent very little and had good success because they have a good manager, Money helps but the ability of the manager is just as important, Give your money to a fool and you will soon be very much worse off

 

I wonder what Rupps relationship with Rahic is like now? It’s quite astonishing that two seasons ago we were in the playoff finals, and now this. All down to two men. One being a total lunatic, the other being led by one. I still really don’t understand what Rahic was trying to do, and I’m struggling to put my finger on just one thing he did that started this shambles. Probably the McCall sacking.

There’s a thread about affinity. Rupp doesn’t have any of that for this club, and I suspect he’s just going to sell up and get out. Rhodes does have a connection of course, but he’s gone very quiet and also will probably clear his desk soon.

I expect the usual “group of local businessmen” (aka Indian restaurant owners) to be mentioned about being interested and giving the club back to Bradford etc etc.

Anyone know what Rahic is doing now? I bet he’s looking at our league position through his fingers, knowing that if we do go down, it’ll be a huge black mark on his CV/Linkedin profile. But knowing him, he’s probably laughing that we’re in a worse off position without him, and he would have kept us up!
