    So anything driving traffic to the sight is fine and balls to anything the majority of users want to read.

    I'd suspect topless pictures of Kate Middleton would drive thousands of users to the site,however you wouldn't put that under city talk would you?

    I agree.

    I fail to understand why the Prediction threads particularly those relating to the World Cup aren't in the existing Prediction League sub-forum. Other genuine City related thread are being squeezed out of the City Talk forum by threads which are not even City related.

    This is becoming ridiculous now the first 7 threads on City Talk are World Cup prediction leagues.

    Makes it look a right mess, they need their own temporary folder out of City Talk

    Thats what I'd prefer but according to the stats it bumps up site traffic massively that it wouldn't in its own section

    I've asked they no longer go in city talk after today or we will move them manually

    General football section is a compromise for now

    When I asked about the City ones at the start of the season the response then was it was temporary to allow automation to be sorted.

    seems like same reply this time so guessing they will stay for the whole World Cup.

    is that right @king karl@king karl ?

    i will be honest I prefer both prediction leagues to be in their own forum as I’m not interested and it makes ignoring them easier as I have the whole forum on ignore so they don’t show even if I click New Posts.

    Just wish I could opt out of the horrendous white background as well

    Yeah it looks a mess and is becoming increasingly irritating seeing all the prediction threads spammed on City Talk. Even the City prediction league threads make it look messy.

    If the Dion Perreira thread is the last one showing by moving the prediction threads to their own section then so be it, it means they'll be easier to find actual City Talk threads rather than weaving in and out of prediction threads.

    Suggestion:

    If the Prediction League is time consuming as Simon suggests and requires time and effort, then it may be worth either:

    A) Scrapping it;
    B) Making it pay to play - say £5 or £10 for the season. To cover some of Simon's dedicated time, whilst also making it people's own prerogative to ensure they enter on time.

    didnt say what I’d pay.:cool: By time it was implemented, if anything like the automation, it will be Christmas and World Cup will have ended

    found an easy way round it and just put the whole general football on ignore until the World Cup ends.

    I raised it last night in the Mod Forum, after @Storck@Storck and @Gardscoigne@Gardscoigne posted.

    Again like everyone else on here I think it should be moved to a dedicated section (perhaps near the General Football thread).

    Although I can do some of the ‘techy stuff’ this transfer in all honesty beyond me and I don’t want to accidentally delete the posts that have been lodged so far.
