No it wasn't, you tried to shut me down because you assumed I was an idiot and backtracked when you realised I definitely wasn't. As Ronnie said, you make some good posts and I enjoy debating you, but recently you've just been snobby and combative. And the thing is, yes you did insult someone because I feel insulted at the way you've chosen to speak to me. And if it was just a joke, why are you still defending yourself to me before Ronnie said anything? Why wasn't it just a joke when you were speaking to me? If you are an adult yourself you're doing a very poor job of showing it.

 

How many were penalties? I say that because scoring penalties is never something you should buy a striker for

Don’t get a big head but you can sometimes tell who has or hasn’t played football for real at a decent level. Before anyone shouts at me this doesn’t mean I’m demeaning any fans opinions who can’t play footy

 

I'm not convinced at all that Doyle wants out, unless he has a clause saying his money is reduced because we got relegated, if it was me same money playing for a team that is in a poorer league where they should be one of the better teams in the league, Scannell Vaughan, Donaldson to complement him, maybe goal bonus, win bonus, I don't think he'll be in a rush to get away.
If Bowyer brings a loan player in I think it will IMO be a midfield player as I'm sure the parent club will want him to be getting regular starts and at the moment I can only see the weak link being in midfield either AM or DM

 

I don't think it's a case of what he wants, I think it's more we feel we can get better value for money and would be happy to shift him should an opportunity to do so come along. He's 31 and coming off the back of a crap season no matter what anyone says so you're right in saying he won't wanna go anywhere soon when he's got a guaranteed cash cow with us. I don't see why we'd need an attacking midfielder as it doesn't seem to be how Bowyer rolls formation wise though. Defensive midfield definitely because Akpans an absolute pansy, I would also say we're light on the left wing.

 

Just be consistent and give me the same reason you gave Ronnie, it's not difficult is it. Apology accepted, try not to act superior next time and we can stay on topic.

 

I wasn't trying to be funny with you, there was no humour involved whatsoever and if you can't accept my reasoning then feel free to not respond.

For the record though, if I'm replying to any poster whose only contribution to the thread at that point was "Shitty Doyle" and "He's dogshit", then I probably am superior. It did help motivate you to construct some decent posts from that point though so that's a positive right there

 

Unfortunately the player holds the cards so if he's happy to stay there is very little the club can do about it.
I can't see Bowyer playing two wide men, if it means one man up top by himself, if I could chose who I'd like out Mr Akpan would be at the top of the list, hard to judge last season but for a big lad he comes across as a big girls blouse.

 

You ignored why I asserted that he is in fact dogshit and just chose to highlight something like four words out of a whole paragraph because those were the only ones that suited your argument. If you're reading comprehension was up there with your faux intellectualism, you'd see I never make an assertion without offering a reason as to why I think that way. If it would help, I can do a mind map for you and link the assertion to the appropriate explanation.

Jesus tittybanging christ really?! I actually didn't know that was the reason but thats pretty damning tbh. More so given I don't think I ever saw him take a penalty for us. I don't think penalty taking is a primary attribute you should ever look for in a footballer imo. If you focus on assembling a squad of 25 players who can actually play and have the correct mindset, the chances are one or two of them will be good penalty takers.

 

We didn't really buy Josh Wright just to take penalties. I think he's having you on.
