How many of those having a "reet good moan" about this trip are actually going? For the fans who've chosen to go, it'll be a few days of sun, sea, beer and a chance to watch the lads have a pre season game. I don't think it really matters about the opposition, provided they're half decent at least. Playing any Spanish side will be a tough workout, because I'd expect them to keep the ball, far more than any side we'll face during the season.

 

pretty sure I told you before but i would have gone if it wasn't through Kadima.

normally I'm pro club but this is clear money grabbing. Stockport are just selling entry for 5/10 euros each instead of £60 each for a transfer on a coach and to a “fan zone” where nothing is included.

£800 for a hotel room, transfer to the match, access to the “fanzone” and the match without flights is criminal.

 

As annoyed as I am with the club for not offering a pay on the gate option like basically every other match / team does, I think from a football perspective this team bonding will do the world of good for all involved and hopefully that unity shows on the pitch when they fight for each other and are not in it as individuals.

 

Having read about the heatwave in Spain I wouldn't want to be walking about never mind doing strenuous exercise.

I've been to two games abroad, both when I was a teenager, both in Holland (RKC Waalwijk & NEC Nijmegen) and if I remember rightly we took a few fans to both (RKC was Intertoto so that makes sense).

One time we were already on holiday in Holland, the other time we built a holiday around the game.

I don't like that you can't just turn up, though.

 

Think the commentators might be Welsh...mostly unintelligible with the odd recognisable word

I’ve seen the goals and the last 15 minutes of the half. Lousy picture angle but stream is fine.

They are not exactly the diddlies but a different level technically. Dirty two hat brought down Pattison(?) we had 3 against two . But a good 45 work out in horrific heat is like two training games in the Uk.
Not fussed about the score win lose or draw but minutes in the legs. Looks to be quite a number of City fans too?

well we have changed a few players, and I know we shouldn't read too much into a friendly, BUT.

Am now trying to convince myself that because it was hot and the opposition were better than us that passing backwards in our own penalty area will stop Smallwood won't be anywhere near free kicks and tactics will be very different on a Tuesday night away to Forest Green
