PORTSMOUTH PROTEST

Demonstrations of protest don't really have to take much arranging.
Something simple could suffice.
Remember the show of City scarfs, copy that, raise them on the 56th minute, chant Radic out for around a minute at some stage of the game, then break into a wall of noise supporting the lads on the pitch.

 

Gonna take more than that to bring this lot round. A defibrilator would be our best option to bring this lot back from the dead.

 

Not in agreement with 56. Two separate things and those who sadly passed do not need bringing into this lesser issue.

 

It’s what message it sends out Tarty; we want to attract new investors to our club, and supporting our team is our most precious asset, regardless of ability. We need to inspire them, we have done it before, when the team is not performing we. Get behind them they represent us as a fan group.

Yes they are going to have to put up with our protests against the owners, they will have to grow a pair, and Hopkin needs to prepare them for that. I would appeal for no booing of our team. Our gripe is not with them. Every time we boo the team or have a go at them it detracts from our main focus.

 

How about the opening minute of BOTH halves ? Edin should be seated, by then.

 

I actually meant 55th minute, then taken into a celebration of what we're about.
Still the concept of it , whenever it was carried out during the game should carry the message loud and clear

In regards to the "wall of noise" OR "scarf swinging" do it in a minute of the game that means something to either US or a minute that coincides with both ER & SR?

 

In regards to a protest, we'd need a lot of backing for it to become viable?

First things first Social Media, this is a key part of drumming up support and making sure everyone is aware of when & where the protest is taking place.

We need to come up with a specific name for the Protest Group too.

Once the name is sorted then it's time to create a Social Media presence, create a Facebook page & Twitter page that way all information is on both platforms so people who are on either can "follow"

Next is planning the Protest, get a group of us together meet 1 night during the week and iron out the whole purpose/point of a protest. Without either, it's pretty pointless and people who are currently "on the fence" might not join it's those who we need to convince!

Authorities! Without the backing from WYP we've NO CHANCE! Simple as that. We give them a proposed route, timings etc they'll go away and see what resources are needed etc.

It isn't as easy as some make out to get all this set up but if people are SERIOUS about creating a "Protest Group" and actually organising a protest then let's get a few heads together, iron some things out then take it from there?!
