    I know it's a few weeks away, but lner have just released a batch of cheap rail tickets for that weekend.
    With my senior railcard I've paid £23.80 for Leeds to KIngs Cross return.
    Being a tight arsed Yorkshireman, with short arms and deep pockets, I'm happy with that price.

    Hope you checked South West Trains from Waterloo are not on strike. What with that and Cross Country having buses currently between Sheff and Derby, I think, I'm going car Friday back after match

    Good advice there from WW, weekend travel by rail is a nightmare nowadays with strikes and engineering work causing diversions and delays.
    You will not get a train from Leeds to Bradford in the evening either.

    Yes I checked on both national rail enquiries and the south west trains website and the services are OK for that weekend.
    I'll keep checking as I know that things can change.
    Thanks for the advice though.

    When I came back from Plymouth on the Sunday morning the train was diverted under the Severn Tunnel to Newport !!!!!!!
    I live in Drighlington so will get the bus home from Leeds.
    Thanks for the warning though.

    There must be something missing from someone’s life if they are willing to travel to Portsmouth for a top v bottom league 1 fixture and pay anything up to £100 to do so

    My answer was "They may be a crap team, but they're my crap team"

    Oh behave Nikki......I’m loyal to the club and always will be but at this present time I have no optimism and can not justify giving that group of players my time and money. Pompey away is expensive and time consuming and they simply don’t deserve it.

    I think the point was your comment was uncalled for:

    If fellow fans get pleasure in traveling down to Portsmouth to support the team why should they be questioned, I think they realise they might have a long journey after a disappointing result but who kows with Bradford City they might have a long journey back disgussing a very good City victory.
