Pivotal days ahead

They can put what spin they want on the situation mate but were in a poor place, we will get a new coach but will it be one we targeted, I'm sure the situation with regards our club is doing the rounds on the managerial grapevine, 8 weeks or so away from the new season are Edin & Greg going to sign players for the new man or await his arrival before doing transfer business.

Unity would be promoted if we were kept in the picture more effectively.

 

Three coaches have turned us down? it's like January's transfer window all over again.

And some people still think everything is fine down at Valley parade.
We need these clowns out before it gets any worse.
To say 3 candidates for the managers job have said no thanks speaks for itself. No money and more than likely Edin to control transfers .

 

Well whether this is correct or not. Time is ticking by, yes we need to be careful who we employ but we do need some urgency to task. The major problem we have, and it is a problem no amount of talking the situation up or ignoring it will make it go away. We have a considerable skill and experience gap at the top of our club. Edin does not have the experience of running a football club, or running an English club in league 1, or negotiating with ‘sell their own mother’ for a commission agents. We can wish it was different but that will not get the job done. It requires nous born out of experience, but failing that, we need somebody to help Edin to get the job done. If not, we can expect an appointment, but we will not have any confidence in that appointment, yes we be very lucky, but if we lose another manager, I honestly don’t know what we will do.

 

I wonder if Rhodes will contact him, to help him out? No point in asking Lawn, Edin would never accept him.

 

It's funny how this close season they're not even bothering to pretend that it isn't Edin who's deciding the retained list and solely dealing with player recruitment.

 

Obviously the word has got out the way the clubs being run...i have got a awful feeling about next season and really do fear for the future of our club.

 

No manager who has been around for a while won't be attracted to our club when some tit is sat there saying yes your the coach but that's it all transfers I'll sort out because "I know football"

 

Even an optimist like me is worried that a club like us: large stadium, good crowds etc is turned down three times. The cynic in me (yes, I can be both) thinks this just prepares the gound for "We had to get an unknown in from somewhere else because no-one established in the UK would have it." Please cheer me up by demolishing my argument.

 

Who are the three? Rosler is one, who are the other two managers to turn us down?

 

I do too. I can only personally allow the owners one last roll of the dice I’m afraid, like many my faith in their approach and ultimately their intentions is now wearing thin. They need to start shitting us Tiffiny cufflinks with respect to the new coach and recruitment of quality this summer, and do it fast, or I can see this whole situation (a la Blackpool fans with the Oystons) turning very nasty very quickly

 

We need a support/agree button. It does not feel right pressing "like".

 

The signals coming out of VP are dire its hard to get any positives out of this mess, what is annoying s its down to one persons ego and could be easily fixed by letting people who have knowledge of football to do the job without interference from above.

 

How depressing, this guys coming, this guys not, too many ITK folks on here.

There are a lot of out of work coaches out there and lots that aspire to be one.
City have a great ground with big crowds, this is a chance for someone to put themselves in a great window of publicity.

Its up to the board to pick the right man who applies for the job and it is necessarily the guy with the well known name.

Lets just wait a while instead getting depressed at all the rumours be those would be in the knowers

1. The retained list was decided on by Simon Grayson before he left. Not ideal but at least it's been done by a football manager not a businessman. That said, retained lists generally sort themselves out and of the players up for renewal there is probably only Doyle who would be offered a new contract anyway.
2. It's six days since Grayson left, two of which would have been taken up with thoughts on the Memorial Service last week so I seriously doubt that we have even got as far as talking to any candidates yet.

If three coaches have turned us down, please name them rather than throwing shit at a wall and hoping someone buys your ITK crap.

 

Well, if the club keeps getting turned down by candidates then either Edin is very,very,very slow on the uptake
