Difference was we reached a major cup final on the way with Parky who is the better manager by far

football has passed him by. the bloke is still pulling the wool over peoples eyes and stealing a living from it, though.

We also played some awful stuff under McCall if you take off those ginger tinted spectacles although I do concede that in general the McCall era (second time round) was more entertaining.

Surprisingly enough, I also go to football to be entertained but I guarantee that after a few months of 5-4 defeats the so called "purists" would give their right testicle to grind out a few 1-0 wins.

 

Stuart nearly did the impossible and got us to within a hairs breadth of promotion despite having the egotistical tw@t hanging round his neck. But there were times when his worrying of the opposition became obsessive, Plymouth at home springs to mind. Still wish he was here with a better ownership but lets not pretend he didn't have his faults just as Parkinson did.

 

Stuart is a better manager than Phil Parkinson. and Stuart would have got us to the Championship (which PP didn't) if he hadn't been royally screwed over.

we achieved what we did INSPITE of Parky, not because of him.
