Parkinson's promotion winning team should have finished higher than 7th. I wouldn't call getting to Wembley under the nutcase German a failure. We was in the play-offs when he was unfairly sacked.

McCall > Parkinson.

 

Why does it matter where you finish? The net result was promotion, all whilst maintaining our second best cup run in our entire history.

McCall has had 4 seasons at the helm and hasn't achieved either.

I think it is a bit like some people don’t blame SM for the drop in form here as Edin was the major fault in the team.

 

There were serious off field issues all season and we’ve seen first hand this season he impact it can have on a squad when there are issues upstairs. I’d say the Bolton issues even trumped the issues we contested with this year so I’d say that relegation is really not that surprising and most of the blame belongs with the owner.

 

It's actually incredible that there are people out there who wouldn't crawl over broken glass to get him back. Bizarre.

 

I would love him back, if he became available, But doubt it will happen. I think Rupp will stick with Hopkin, although Hopkin has not convinced me he is the man to take us forward.

 

I don't feel for him. I look forward to their relegation, and his sacking. the useless twonk.

 

You have to give Parky credit he saw the ego that was Rahic and chose to go to a club where he knew he could be out of a job and it my have nothing to how well or badly he and his team have perforned.........that says it all to me.

 

well obviously I still have a soft spot for City. will always look out for their results. ;-)

Yet Parkinson had a league promotion and a major cup final appearance whilst with us. McCall had 3 or 4 seasons of failure.

Weird things stats

 

Who's football did you prefer to watch? We played some awful stuff under Parkinson. PP needed them cup games or he'd have been in the same category as Colin Todd. I'm a purist when it comes to football. I go to be entertained and for 90% of PP's reign I wasn't. Grateful for him getting us to where he did but didn't flinch or lose any sleep when he jumped ship. If we were more ruthless in the nearly season with McCall we were easily the 2nd best team in the division behind Sheff Utd. Real shame really as that was a fantastic side and a great team to watch.

 

I don't have ginger tinted spectacles on. I'm not part of McCall mania like some on here. We had a bad 6 week when players downed tools. 90% of the time under McCall we kept the ball with ease, played teams off the park and we had a winger in Mark Marshall who could produce something from nothing in the drab games.

 

Was Parkinson banging your mum or something? You've given a very skewed view of actual events.

 

Total tosh @ Ricc, 5/6 of the best seasons of my life folowing Bradfird City.
As yourself I'm a big McCall fan, unfortunatly when Rahic got involved Parky saw it as a parting of the ways, I believe with the squad Parky had assembled that last season when Millwall beat us, a little bit more quality added I believe he would have taken us up the following season.
