I know Hopkin says he will name a full strengths XI, however if Payne is any doubt at all, surely he needs to be rested for this one to hopefully be available for Plymouth?

 

2-1 defeat.

Peterborough not scored much at home recently. Hope it continues but not too sure we will win.

 

I hope we win and I don't believe it's too much of a write off..... HOWEVER, the main thing Hopkin is thinking about at the moment is L1 SURVIVAL and the dreaded 50 points required to stay up!

 

Most likely is a defeat. Yet a Draw is not beyond us .......... But would we wish that, as fixtures pile up ?
Although a welcome distraction, a Win would also help cement any new found confidence.

I would say a Draw is on the cards, but our implosion against Luton tells me that a defeat is just waiting to be had - from a poor performing Peterborough at home side. We need all our players to 'click', not just the usual one or two, for this.

 

Woke up feeling optimistic about this one. Hard fought 2-1 victory for the lads today

I'm not so much worried about the result but hoping our seasonal ill discipline, does not rear it's head again and restrict us further in league games.

 

I think I agree. We tend to fold once we concede and we will concede.

That and the fact that the league is going to be foremost in Hopkin's thinking leaves me fearing a bit of a mauling.

You never quite know though. I'm hoping against hope for a decent performance and maybe a surprise result.

 

It’ll be another dicking. I’m just counting down the days till January and praying we’ve got some decent signings lined up sharpish.

 

I'm fairly confident of a decent result. Like someone on another thread said, i think the Luton game came at a bad time for us. Unlike many on here, i'll be disappointed to be out of the cup. Not only because of the £54k prize money but i hate blank Saturdays. I fully appreciate the league being paramount but i'm old fashioned i guess.

 

Luton were on form. These aren't.

No reason to fear a walloping imo, probably either draw or a narrow loss.

Win would be excellent.
