Peterborough replay

I thought the full strength team and the fringe players were one and the same, that's been the complaint so far this season anyway.

 

Being facetious, forgive me. In all seriousness we don't want to be chopping and changing, barring injuries play your full team in my opinion.

 

A win will be good as it will bring in some money but probably only result in us getting battered at Middlesbrough.

We'll need to score at least twice because they'll play on the counter as they always do and they have loads of pace and we don't.

I expect them to sit back watch our efforts and then score on the break at least once. We'll need some luck to win this game

Worst thing that could happen is that we lose pretty heavily say 0-3 or 1-3 which is entirely possible and confidence takes a hit again.

 

Trying to put a winning run together is paramount for confidence and to experience actual progress up the league.

We are better but still bottom.Jan window needs to be our victory if we are to get who we need to make survival happen.

 

Full strength team for me. 2 games in a week should be well within the capabilities of the players.

 

We have to go for it in the Cup in my opinion, absolutely nothing else will suffice. This team needs to get into the habit of winning matches and an insipid display in the replay will be of no benefit to anyone - so play the best team DH can put out

 

Rather waste my money on the Euro millions draw than watch this team again.

 

As nuts as it may sound, I’d be resting Payne or only have him on the bench. With the forthcoming league game and him being the only goal scorer and playmaker we have, I’d go with caution on him.

 

Rest the better ones, there's no way past Middlesbrough in the next round with this crock of shite. I'd rather focus on the season ahead as in the long run financially we need to be in this league. Imo Payne won't be here for the 3rd round so let's use him to try and get as many points in the league as possible

Whoever is seriously important for us v Walsall, (that'll be players belonging to other clubs then) rest them. I'll put good money on us going out in the next round, we have a zero chance of going very far in the cup but a significantly better than zero chance of staying up.

We need to play our strongest team.Winning games is vital if we want to get out of the mess we're in.

The risk is injuries but we now know we weren't set up properly in the fitness dept.Now we have a top fitness coach and ice baths to treat knocks.

The chances of injuries are probably less but the financial gains which can go towards team strengthening in Jan will also be vital.

Winning is what counts as playing under strength teams could be counter productive.

 

Totally agree, winning creates mentality, spirit and a feel good with us fans but most important £54,000 prize money at stake and a share of money in the next round and, who knows, more prize money still. Very welcome and much needed if we can get it.

 

I would drop Chicksen and replace with Wood.

For me it's thinking long term rather than short term. We need to win on Saturday and that's far more important than tomorrow's cup reply.

Considering our squad is weak then I would be resting any player(might not be any) that the manager rates.

We can't afford injuries to key players at this stage and we need all players firing on Saturday.

 

Winning breeds winning. Gotta go for it imo. Especially with it being a side in the same division. If we win this, sends a bit of a message to those around us in the same league.
Talking of fringe squads. Whats happened to that lad who what got from Barnsley - Tom someone. Striker. Scored a few pre season.
