Ozil setup a football academy

Those youngsters around the area will take more notice of a world known footballer than a league 2 football club. Sad in a way that someone who's never been here has that much sway but it's the world of social media influence we live in. That's not the fault of the club.

 

It's reminiscent of the Sol Campbell scenario where he thinks he has a right to a management role and its everyone else's fault he hasn't. Maybe like Campbell they just aren't good enough? But then that won't fit the narrative that some are deliberately looking for. I can't believe in this day and age clubs would turn away a potential asset if they were good enough, its completely illogical.

 

Look.....if they are interested enough have the desire and are good enough, they'll make it.
Why the hell does all this get dragged up because 'there's a shortage'????
I had the first two but the third wasn't up to scratch, no matter how I tried.
Is that the fault of someone else?

 

It's called probability and if the numbers are way off were probably doing something wrong and missing out on talent

Spend millions on developing a tiny amount of talent or put it into the first team squad. What's best eh ?
