Thought Payne was joining a Championship side? Wasn’t it Birmingham? I recall someone trying to start an argument this week about him joining a bigger team and thus on more money than McCartan?

 

I think the lad is getting a bit of unfair stick, lets not forget the very poor players around him who rearly showed up.

My good neighbour just gave me a jar of (Freshly made) CHUNKY strawberry Jam. With a tub of Lurpak in the fridge, and the fact I bought two giant Croissants, this afternoon ........ along with a jar of LOR coffee already in house - Guess what I'm having for breakfast, tomorrow ?

Exactly. If the other players who now have more space don’t use it then that’s not really Payne’s fault. If they had performed, the opposition manage would soon have to ditch the double marking. Our failing was that it was plainly obvious we didn’t have much other options
