I can assure you James Mason is doing very well for himself, and with regards his time at Valley Parade although there were a few teething problem you couldn't find a more commited man.

 

The same James Mason who oversaw one of our most successful periods? Might be wrong but I don’t recall many calling for a DoF during his time.

Rumours were Jagger was involved as a consultant in the recruitment process after Hughes left too - someone on here mentioned it (edit: looks like it was @Lard Arse. Interestingly, he said Jewell didn’t want GA). Think Jewell did some of the interviews with Sparks did he not?

Disagree. Thought mason did a good job at a difficult time. Especially given Rahic was involved. Managing upwards must be super difficult when you have his ego to deal with. He walked away when it was obvious he couldn’t do the job as he saw fit.

 

He doesn't want them enough to be in the starting 11 and that is cureently a starting 11 that isn't creating enough chances or scoring enough goals. If he doesn't think they should be in the starting 11 then move them on and let him bring in players that WILL be in his first choice team.

 

James is a super bloke and was brilliant at City with a complete tosser working above him in Rahic. Would have him back in a heartbeat but he’s moved onto bigger and better things now unfortunately.

Absolute rubbish. James did a tremendous job at the club and everyone knows he bleeds Bradford City. And I know that personally. Whoever you are do not sully the name of Mason - you’re clearly a Sparks plant. Sparks isn’t fit to wipe Mason’s ass.

 

Absolutely well said and Sparks should be ashamed in instructing his social media puppets to come in here and deflect the conversation from Sparks being inept to try being critical of Mason. Every fan who knows what James did for our club would welcome him back in a heartbeat and I for one would love it if James could put a consortium together to buy our club.

 

That account is clearly a Sparks plant put on here to deflect the conversation from Sparks - given how new it is. I for one know first hand the great work James did for our club and the fans and I’d welcome him back with open arms. Sparks you should be ashamed. You are unfit to be in our club and the sooner you do one the sooner this club can start progressing. You’re a grifter of the highest order and using your social media expertise from social chain to manipulate comment threads shows what a conniving snake you are.

 

If he is doing what you’re stating then his position untenable. He’s become a Rahic 2nd edition.

Both Sparks and Mason are sleazy failures of the highest order and neither would I employ.

 

I liked James Mason he was a good bloke but he was a commercial and media guy Rhodes dealt with the football side of things dealing with agents and players and appointing managers

 

I am sure they are gutted to hear that.

 

There was a very good point raised last around the jump Sparks will have received in his salary by going from a media administrator to CEO. The figures (25k to 100k) are likely not bang on, but they'll be ball park. When you get that level of hike overnight, despite not having demonstrated the capability or having a CV that suggests another similar gig would be forthcoming if he exited, he'll be clinging to it for dear life. There'll be huge elements of self interest at play.

I can relate to what others have said on here and last night - there are red flags when speaking to him, a lack of humility and an air of arrogance.

 

The fact he is not in football and got bombed from his last football job highlights he wasn’t great.

It’s easy to get away from things at Bradford City. Look at Sparks. Our fans are soft and lazy.
