I have serious doubts that he would ever resign of his own accord. I hope I'm wrong but I would never consider that he was sufficiently honourable in that way. I could never imagine him reacting to fans' criticism in that way ever despite what many of us might want. His ego wouldn't allow it.
The only real alternative would be for him to be sacked by Rupp. However from Rupp's perspective, he's doing a good job. The club is stable financially, it's sustainable in the immediate future and he's avoiding Rupp having to dip into his own pockets. All of the crap he speaks about not accepting mediocrity or not getting promoted being regarded as failure or extolling the quality of the players recruited in the transfer windows is just bullshit. Most fans know that and see through it but it's all of secondary importance from Rupp's viewpoint.
As we encroach closer to the relegation zone, Rupp might realise that things are slipping out of his control and possibly change things. But until that happens, Sparks is out of the firing ljne. -
We looked very much like we were going to end up in nonleague until Parkinson came in and grabbed all areas of the club by the collar. Against all odds he reversed the decline.
Now we find ourselves back to where we were under Jackson, Christie, JR and Lawn.

Has he even done a good job commercially?
Anyway, it's nothing personal and you can't blame a young lad for having a go when being gifted a CEO gig, regardless of him not being qualified for or having earned it. You have to grab opportunities when they open up. That's all fair enough.
But this isn't a vehicle for his vanity, or personal status. He's not cut out for it and at this point, not acting is a vote of self interest at the expense of the club because its clearly failing.
Your first duty as CEO is to act in the best interests of the business you're accountable for, not to act out of self presentation.

18th in league 2. Just let that sink in. -
Then going down a completely different route this season asking players to play a system most fans could see from our opening games players were not happy with what they were being asked to do, losing an early goal against Colchester because none of our defender were capable of playing it from the back and Harry Lewis getting caught ball watching Harry openly stating they weren't happy with it once Hughes had left.
I was fully behind every managerial appointment Ryan made after giving Stuart an extension then sacking him days later, on paper Adams looked the ideal appointment, were the fans to blame for Adams departure not his results or entertainment on show on the field'
Alexander has been successful at this level and after the Notts County debacle got us not merely picking up points but looking like we could score goals which we did in that little run I believe getting 3/4 clean sheets, we lose Jamie Walker and everything goes tits up now I accept Walker looks above league two level but to go on such a shocking run because at times it has been shocking can't be put down to one player.
Your entitled to your opinion that's what the forums here for but don't blame the fans who even given your comments with regards our performances since relegation have once again back our club financially. -

Sparks has overseen years of stagnation and decline regarding citys league position. Any CEO with integrity wouldn’t allow that to continue. That’s why I’m looking for change. Time to go.

No one at the top cares about the fans. We are all mugs! Why are we spending our money on this joke of a club when Soarks won’t do the right thing which is to step down and make Rupp start having an active role to recruit a CEO.
This club is dead! Needs to be waken up and that happens if Soarks resigns or is sacked!Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Faithful Bantam, Hulmebantam, bantam316 and 4 others like this. -
Signing players that are not good enough and renewing contracts for those that are not good enough. A CEO at a football club that doesn’t know what he is doing is means that no matter what a club does it will never get to the heights required.
Fans have a right to question footballers or style of play. They’re paying money to watch. When Smallwood is on free kicks and making a mess of them of course fans have a right to moan
Unfortunately, for this club it’s only the fans that care about the club. It’s a mess!Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Naz Nomad, Ponty City, gingercafu and 4 others like this. -

Thanks Jon.
What's the plan with this? Is it just for this forum? Am I ok to use the majority of the wording to use as an email to the club?
What if everybody who felt the same did that and email the club, T&A, Yorkshire Post, BBC Radio L**ds on a set day? Anybody have Rupp's email? Those German newspapers that somebody mentioned the other day?
What if people that are on Facebook / Twitter etc. post it on the respective socials, again on a preset day or time?
Perhaps a concerted communication event could be discussed on Monday?
Might not have the desired effect immediately but may raise some proper questions with the press? Just thinking out loud!!Bantamspaul, Hampshire Bantam, Faithful Bantam and 4 others like this. -

1. Ryan didn't need to sack Hughes. He and Mark had a plan they'd agreed on and should have been working towards. Sacking Mark reflected poorly on Ryan and the plan he'd agreed with Mark.
2. Ryan allowed Mark to go down a path of changing the style of play fundamentally from the previous season. Ryan must have known about this because he, Gent and Mark agreed on transfer targets for the summer window.
3. Ryan then agreed to push the budget or push up to the top of the budget to bring in a whole lot of other players that didn't fit into the style that they'd originally planned on late in the window.
4. Ryan has now hired a manager who has a style of play that is fairly easy to understand from previous roles and he is working with a squad that doesn't really fit into that style of play. The new manager has consistently left some players out e.g. Chapman, Tulloch, McDonald, Pointon, - if Ryan backed GA then he could have been looking to move these on to create space for signings that better fit GA's style. Instead, he hasn't managed to move on players, or pay off contracts to release them, and we're left with a squad that is too big (which was partly Ryan's decision in number 3) and isn't fit for purpose for GA's style or has hired a manager that doesn't have the right squad for GA's style.
Worth noting, I don't like GA's style but I'm putting that aside for the purposes of the points above. I also agree that Ryan has done well on the commercial side and indeed I have advocated for him to remain on the commercial side while a director of football runs the football operations. It would cost Stefan an extra £100-200k a year but gets him a better structured management board.borderlescott, Jay, Gardscoigne and 3 others like this. -
