    According to the Scotsman newspaper Oli will sign a new contract with Swansea disappointing Rangers who were prepared to pay £4m for him.

    I know.. £600,000 gone begging.

    Though we do get £50,000 each for the next two batches of 10 prem games he plays for them.
    Small change in comparison but you never know if a big money move will be in the offing next season.

    No? Wasn't he out of contract this summer therefore the sell on would go to waste.

    Or am I just being an idiot and him signing the new deal gets rid of our sell on?

    I thought he had previously signed a contract extension at Swansea (I think 12 months until next summer) which is why Rangers had apparently offered £4mill for him rather than be able to sign him on a free. Taking 20% (or whatever the arrangement is) would have been a good windfall for us!

    A sell-on arrangement is between the clubs so the fact he has signed a new contract doesn't impact on the sell-on arrangement. So no, you're not being an idiot ;)

    If so, I stand corrected. But I'm sure at the time, Mason said it was potentially a very lucrative arrangement with add-ons for appearances and a decent sell-on clause. But having read Bronco's link, the poster is adamant there isn't one. I know where my money would be! ;)
