Officially Down

No mate, i knew we were down as soon as February the first came about. To be honest i thought we were relegation candidates long before that, the December run gave a bit of hope but that had to be tempered with who the wins came against and how bad those teams were. Truth was the only way had any chance of salvaging something from this shit show was the January transfer window, a window that couldn't have been used any worse than if we had deliberately tried to do so. We knew where the weaknesses were, none of them were acted upon, infact they were made weaker with letting McGowan and a limited but enthusiastic Bruenker leave.

In all honesty, we have got worse as the season has gone on irrelevant of the manager. We had a very small purple patch but in general, this is true. Our stats have got worse, and worse and worse outwith December when gods knows what happened.

 

We can finally put this nightmare of a season behind us.

Roll on League 2, massive rebuilding process in the summer.

Never mind mate, when all around us lost all hope, we still had a little bit left, no matter how futile it seemed.

 

Its an outrage we have Gary Bowyer facing the press on what may be the worst run in our history whilst the real culprit had gone into hiding then varnished without facing the music.

 

The team is too bad to win that! They'll finish 23rd instead!

Finally glad it’s official. It’s been a horrific season and some would say been on the cards since pre season, which you could argue it has, but it certainly has since Walsall.

Call against Bowyer are quite ridiculous and IMO, absolutely unnecessary. At a time when regrouping and stability is needed he has so far made the right sounds in preparation for next season. He has experience as to what is required whilst working with financial boundaries, so I’m confident we have someone who can steady this ship and have us at least challenging for top 7 next season. This has to be our target.

For now, I’ll happily not see any of those clowns who we know won’t be here next season. Bowyer has probably seen enough by now to see who they are and now relegation is official, i won’t be surprised if start hearing of some already submitting requests or being told to move on, even as early as next week.

Let’s have a glimpse of the best of the youth crop and see how they can handle the first team.

 

Agree, no point now in playing the players who have relegated us. Let’s have a look at some of the young players we haven’t seen. In fact t wasn’t going on Monday just don’t want to watch them lose again, but if GB indicates he is playing some of the young ones I might reconsider.

 

If GB thought the youngest were could enough he would of played them already or at least give them minutes.

This let's play he the youngest is rubbish. Clearly they're not good enough or not ready so it's not going to happen.

7 defeats in a row. Like it or not from Bowyers point of view it's not time to start playing players that are not ready. He needs to get a win and fast because from a management point of view he's embarrassing himself.

 

Well I won’t be going then. The only one who is embarrassing themselves on this subject is you. It is not his fault that this load of tossers have no pride, no bottle, and should hang their heads in shame at what they have served up this season.

 

Is football a results business?

Even on sky it said Bradford who have now lost 7 in a row! At no point it said because of the players!

Managers like in any business get judged on results or are you trying to change how the whole game operates?

Thing is if he isn't getting judged on results then what's he doing here? We might as well of hired him in the summer. Another fine mess by Rhodes but hopefully it works out because this appointment is on Rhodes head.

Glad to hear players getting short shrift on the highlights programme. Wonder what attendance will be on Monday? Not sure I can be arsed on one hand, but on other want to let them know what I think of their “efforts.”

Be glad when this season is over and we can wipe the slate clean and start again.

One thing that’s annoyed me is Rahic went ages ago and the players are still hiding behind it and getting a free ride and every post comes back to Rahic. At least next season we can face the players up and they can have no excuses.

How a O’Connor was allowed to continue playing for this club after Portsmouth is beyond me. He was lucky a new manager came in when he did.

The rest have had a free ride since and it’s shocking. Not one can come out with any credit for me.
