Still three games left yet to further suffer the indignation of relegation. Monday there should be no 'take me home midland road' rubbish, no clapping or cheering from the fans as they come on, just complete and utter silence. And none of that crap before the whistle with sponsors and kids on the pitch. To be relegated with three games still to go is a f*cking embarrassment and should be treat as such.

A monumental fall from grace. Never thought it would happen again after the glory years. It’s disgusting this has been allowed to happen. Rupp has a lot to answer for and a lot of repair work to do.

 

Very true and Mr Rahic will always be credited for this debacle
But looking forward it's disconcerting to think he left the club in December
That's nearly 5 months ago
We have since had new managers and a transfer window to improve but sadly not
Whatever his tenure has left us with certainly will take some shifting

How can you give a man a 2 year contract that has 7 defeats in a row and was tasked to keep us up with 11 games to go?

No mate, i knew we were down as soon as February the first came about. To be honest i thought we were relegation candidates long before that, the December run gave a bit of hope but that had to be tempered with who the wins came against and how bad those teams were. Truth was the only way had any chance of salvaging something from this shit show was the January transfer window, a window that couldn't have been used any worse than if we had deliberately tried to do so. We knew where the weaknesses were, none of them were acted upon, infact they were made weaker with letting McGowan and a limited but enthusiastic Bruenker leave.

 

Well I don't know about anyone else but I didn't see that coming.

It doesn't matter that he left 5 months ago, the real damage had been done long before Hopkins arrived. Afraid to say it but I predicted that the January transfer window wasn't going to help us. Not many decent players want to join a sinking ship and those that do would have wanted a big whack.

 

Well it is official we are now in league 2. I don’t want to discuss what happens next atm, I want to reflect on last season. I have watched and supported city for many a long year. This has to be right up there, not because we have been relegated, but the way we have just slipped into league 2 without a whimper. Every single player should take a long hard look at themselves, along with everybody involved with the club.

I don’t want to hear any excuses about lack of finances, don’t lie to me, just get it sorted. No long speeches and hand wringing, just sort it, and tell us what the plans are for our progress.

 

I know it sounds strange, but almost feels like a relief that its finally confirmed. The writing has been on the wall most of this miserable season and like Im sure everyone else, cannot wait to see the back of this season.

Looking forward to what should be a brilliant summer of Cricket with the World Cup and Ashes coming up, and a few weeks break from Football

 

Eh? He could have sent Miller back, or Ball, or even not signed Payne and used the money to sign a proper striker. He and he alone wasted money on players we didn’t need, Clarke and Anderson.

 

Finally glad it’s official. It’s been a horrific season and some would say been on the cards since pre season, which you could argue it has, but it certainly has since Walsall.

Call against Bowyer are quite ridiculous and IMO, absolutely unnecessary. At a time when regrouping and stability is needed he has so far made the right sounds in preparation for next season. He has experience as to what is required whilst working with financial boundaries, so I’m confident we have someone who can steady this ship and have us at least challenging for top 7 next season. This has to be our target.

For now, I’ll happily not see any of those clowns who we know won’t be here next season. Bowyer has probably seen enough by now to see who they are and now relegation is official, i won’t be surprised if start hearing of some already submitting requests or being told to move on, even as early as next week.

Let’s have a glimpse of the best of the youth crop and see how they can handle the first team.

 

Well I won’t be going then. The only one who is embarrassing themselves on this subject is you. It is not his fault that this load of tossers have no pride, no bottle, and should hang their heads in shame at what they have served up this season.

 

We can't take Rahic into league 2 next season, after the false dawn in December we had every chance to help ourselves in the January window.
Everyone presently at the club have now to take full responsibility for playing (?) their part in our downfall...

 

Rahic signed the shit bags.. his “championship” quality players.. we need to get rid asap or its another relegation next year.. all in all this team deserved to go down.. worst in the league.

 

Let them sue. We can counter claim for fraudulently claiming to be footballers.

 

I wouldn't. If these players were in league two this season I wouldn't have much confidence of us staying up, at least that team managed to save us, these lot wouldn't!

 

this squad would have struggled at the bottom of league 2 make no mistake. A coup!e of half decent individuals doesn't disguise the fact this is the worst squad i can remember in over 35 years of watching them.
