I am one of the more optimistic posters both on the old board and this. I do remember two administrations and previous owners who also said they had no money to invest. Our new owners who you constantly support said when they arrived that they were ambitious to be promoted and that they had a three year plan to get us there. Funnily enough I believed all that crap, now I am questioning not only their motives for actually being here, but also what is going to happen which you have now categorised as moaning and complaining and making snide comments about my life.

I am beginning to question what is the point of this board and more importantly self promoting moderators who have elevated themselves so they can constantly criticise posters for discussing unsubstantiated rumours. Let me explain rumours are just that, have very little substance, and if we are only left to discuss topics that appear on the club’s website then this board would be like dusty old shed with just you sat firmly at your computer pressing the refresh button!”

 

What I meant to say and is of course true, is this I would be well and truly pissed off if this turned out to be true, is that ok for you?? Ask if you can if you can be a moderator you have all the credentials!

 

In theory Rupp could sell his share. But having Edin as part owner would be u workable unlesshe wanted to stay on as part of it

 

You really shouldn't let it get to you, there will be posts you can live with and those that annoy you, but in the great scheme of things does it really matter...?

 

I'd suggest that would hardly be a suprise, a club that had been through 2 administration with one of the present directors still being the major shareholder of the club.

 

Who is still a shareholder from when we were in administration?

 

But he would have no control over the new major share holders decisions/actions so it would be rather stupid to hold onto his small % of shares ?.

 

That is what I am saying but suddenly people are thinking a few years later when we are still over all losing money someone would lend £6m,

 

Think @Bronco is talking about when we tried borrowing £1m and Lawn ended up lending it at 9%

 

As I pointed out earlier Edin has invested more than just money Into the club he has moved his life and his families from Germany to here.
I personally don’t think he is going to quit so easily

 

Well that is what happens in real life when you have a bad credit rating. I don’t think it was that expensive, and Lawn was not in a position to lend money for free.

 

@Storck is quoting the Rhodes/ Lawn days when they couldn't get any investment from finacial institutions, so I was quoting Julian as still being the major share holder at the time of both administrations.

 

Not sure what me being a moderator has to do with anything. Would you find the comments different if I didn’t have the tag next to my name? I criticise people putting too much emphasise on substantiated rumours and getting pissed off by things said in them as they are just that unsubstantiated rumours. If everyone agreed about everything on the message board it would be a boring place to come.

Totally agree. I was using the lack of options then to point out that it was highly unlikely that the new owners managed to borrow £6m without putting up collateral to cover the amount, which was an option when Lawn/Rhodes were here but they didn’t want to risk their homes.

What I would like explaining to me, and I know I don’t u derstand how business is run. Why are we 750,000 overdrawn (I know it isn’t a lot in the scheme of things) nevertheless it is a substantial amount of money. So where is the Wisdom and Nahki etc? Wembley/playoff money? I presume most of the ticket sales money is paying players salaries, but we still had this money, and the budget was reduced this year.

 

So they still have a year dont they?

Year one, get feet under the table, having to start from scratch due to parky losing his bottle, come close to promotion

Year two - use the cash earned to sort out the ticket office, club shoo, catering etc, get rid of the deadwood staff and players and those employed by the club who are actually rinsing the club (the club within a club). Make plans to improve the pitch (left ruined by a previous board who you now want to come back), have to deal staff/player fall outs, racism and threats to children, plus the racism allegations within the squad which have appeared to have surfaced.

Year 3, who knows left to got on with the job, with a proven manager, away fron the off field circus and with a bit of investment, you never know they may well make true with the three year plan.

 

You could be right but my point still stands he would have very little influence on the day today running of the club.

I'm not too sure but his wife she might have a big say in any out come with regards him selling out, she is far from happy the way this season has panned out regarding her and their family, she wishes they had not moved over here and has been found on more than one occssion by staff at the club sobbing alone, that sort of situation isn't good for any marrage.

 

Because income s/t sales is way below the budget under the last owners it was known as deficit. And trust me with sales well down this year just to keep the same expenditure is going to push that figure sky high

 

Any rumour your hearing regarding Mitton group buying the club is totally false . I’ve spoken to the owner this morning about it and he has denied that he has ever made a bid for the club and that he never will . But they will continue to support the club in anyway possible
