When it first opened as a Sunday boot sale place it looked nothing more than a death trap to me. Two visits and that was enough. Is it still there?

It's still a death trap down Great Horton Road when Cannon mills is open then again that can be said for many roads around Bradford, Leeds Road its like Santa Pod.

There must be a world record for the largest number of toilet rolls per square kilometer on market days. They’re just everywhere!

Ha ha you beat me to the toilet roll comment. I go to the My Lahore takeway down there but try and avoid it on Sundays for this reason. The other day the police were going into the shops on Great Horton Road discussing whether to close the road one day or something. Just heard them mention some cricket final upcoming?

I don’t follow cricket but saw the videos before of lads shouting “boom boom afridi’ hanging out of windows as road ground to a complete halt! Presume Pakistan won something that day?!

Maybe, but what will Bradford City do in the coming years. That is the key question and one the club urgently needs to be thinking about.

Need to start putting things out to fans to see their reaction.

Ryan has covered this when he took the job saying the club were in touch with Gordon Gibb, there's only one reason for that I would think.
What will Bradford City do in the coming years, playing at Valley Parade be that as tenants of the pension fund or under the new owner of the Valley Parade although I can't see the latter.

Agree we need to put this pie in the sky , unfunded, underestimated, over inflated b/s to bed. It isn’t the answer.. You know it and I know it.

How many years ago was that?

Where are we at with conversations?

    We still talking to Gibbs?

Bottomline is the club need to seriously start updating the fans. Plans need to be expressed.

Absolutely pointless. If the RFL want a national stadium they should fully fund it themselves. This is totally irresponsible use of funds by BDMC, even on the cost of the plans.

    1) It wont attract concerts when Manchester Arena is 35 miles away and holds 23,000, Leeds Arena is 10 miles away and holds 13,000 and Sheffield Arena is also 35 Miles away holding 15,000
    2) Boxing wont use it because of the availability of Manchester
    3) The Bulls get 3,000 crowds and dont need a bigger venue
    4) Bradford City won't relocate there because they understand the impact it would have on the City Centre economy on match days and the feeling amongst City fans against Odsal - a move to Odsal would slash our attendances and income.
    5) This would take away the only money making sport at Odsal - Stock Cars
    6) Traffic problems caused by people having to get across the City rather than into the City
    7) The levelling up fund is there to build infrastructure and jobs, not stadiums that aren't needed
    8) We already have a 25,000 capacity stadium in the City, irrelevant of who owns it
    9) More people would drive to Odsal causing parking and traffic issues
    10) The cost would be significantly more than the £50million stated. Once a full structural assessment is made the plan will be shelved as uneconomic
    11) The RFL would only use it for semi finals. It isnt big enough for the Grand Final or the challenge Cup Final, which would continue to go to Old Trafford & Wembley

What amazes me , is the expected spend level of visitors to the stadium 1.25 million visitors per annum (25000 per week)
to bring in over £600 million. Lets say 1 event a week, a concert i decide to attend with the wife and we book to stay in the hotel, you would be expected to spend somewhere in the region of £900 to £1000 for us both to reach that sort of income.
I don't think so, will get back in my car head of down the M606 onto the M62 and back home in an hour and a bit, like i do now when i visit the o2 in Manchester or the Sheffield arena , First direct in Leeds or even the arena in Liverpool.
The boat has sailed on this , it needed building 30 to 40 years ago, but as usual Bradford council are splashing around looking for someone to come along with a life raft and save them.

1, As he's only been in the job a short while Id say within the last 12 months he actually makes the comment on an interview.
2, How would I know what was said but I'd suggest it was about Bradford City and Valley Parade
3, As above I'll try and find the video,
4, Plans for what were going no where, why do the fans need to know what we will be paying with regards the next tenancy, but I'm sure a figure will come out.
Just out of curiousity do you tell your customers what your premises cost to either rent or buy.
