Stubbs can count himself lucky not to have been subbed off at half time, Taylor was no worse than him. Stubbs has been very poor this season and he's escaped a lot of criticism probably because of the credit he has from last season.

 

Makes you wonder if he's injured

He doesn't look injured, he just looks piss poor

 

Halliday and Pointon are the only two players for me this season who come out with any credit whatsoever.

And you know it's desperately bad when Alex Gillead is probably in the top 5 performers this season.

 

No pace and being asked to defend the half way line.
It all got masked last season as we defended a lot deeper.

 

If that is true it's most likely they didn't want to take a risk with his knee problems which we are keeping under control with a bespoke training plan.

 

Yet some loons think that our scouts will magically produce in January

In actually think Gillehead did okay today

 

He escapes criticism for me because he has to play alongside Taylor.

 

That doesnt excuse him losing personal battles. There is video of a teamtalk that Warnock once gave where he is lynching one of his defenders whose argument was he was covering for someone else. Warnock response was you deal with what I tell you to deal with and let me worry about him.

Stubbs has had some guff performances recently, possibly going as far back as Tranmere when he was remonstrating with fans chanting at Hughes.

He was out thought and outsprinted by 38 year old mcgoldrick for one of their goals and the nearest he got to the lad he was supposed to be marking this afternoon was shaking his hand at the end of the 90 mins

 

Playing alongside someone you trust is absolutely massive.

Stubbs was good last year and he'll be good again once we get rid of Taylor. I've absolutely no doubt about it.
