What RC Bantam doesn't get is 'situation'. We currently have a mediocre to poor squad of players who Hughes has been trying to get better organised with tactics and lay out that help them overcome their obvious weaknesses as much as possible. Does he really believe MH can suddenly turn a bunch of middling, ever inconsistent players into silk purses? There will be a massive overhaul over the summer.

 

Of course it was A point, but measured against them…. They are in the most overrated position I’ve seen any side in the division on that performance, DESPITE how poor we were.! Let’s have some honesty please.

Cant argue with much of that but the Northampton commentary team were a bundle of laughs.

“The Bradford player Gillyhead could easily play in a division above”.

Not long until the season’s over. Can’t say that bothered re tomorrow. Most of players, hopefully, won’t be in starting XI next year. Decided not to bother Good Friday either. Jeez, we better see some decent recruitment this summer. One more season like this and it will be hard to keep dragging myself to VP.

Yes, it usually boils down to personal preference with City fans.

"But Vaughan should be scoring every game", "but we should be playing wingers", "but 4-4-2", "but it's boring", but we were fifth.

There was, and still is, no excuse for turning on Bowyer.

Turning on Bowyer was basically saying "we're not happy to go up unless it's exciting".

 

In my book, good defending and goalkeeping is not being lucky though.

We clearly need a big clearout in the summer, however, it's pleasing to see Hughes and his coaching team improving the defence without having the benefit of a transfer window yet

 

It wasn't good defending, it was rank poor finishing. Don't kid yourself, we start next season with this back four.and we finish mid table at best.

 

Have to agree. I saw more in us when Angol came on than I did from Cook. Angol is more mobile, clever in his positioning and makes the opposition think. Cook seems to have lost all that from his game. He looks lost and clueless as to what is around him.

I don’t want Angol to start next game purely as I’d like to see him finish the season and consider whether he’s worth risking another contract offer. Based on when he’s played this season, I’d say he is (fitness the big risk) and perhaps it’s time for Cook to move on.....

Yet wasting your time mate. We're 15th by virtue 4 directly below us lost but we are essentially 3 points ahead of 20th.
A fecking disaster.

 

I didn’t think they were a good team, once again they had pace we didn’t. They also have a problem scoring. I would be surprised if they go up.

We were awful in the first half rushed decision making, and the constant passing back all speak of a team without confidence. Second half they looked much better as we got rid of sorry substituted the hapless Evans. Finished quite strongly. It was worse last week.

I think we need a proper medical assessment of players who have had considerable injury time off. Angol is a good player but not if he is injured. Dion continues to impress.

We move on to finish this season. A joy listening to Duxbury, what you wouldn’t give for a midfielder like him. In Hughes we trust.

 

And the passing of Cooke. Although not to his usual standard, but those three changed us from a pedestrian team to one with purpose. They were poor after their subs came on.

 

I'm really surprised Evans is playing. He looked painfully slow and a mile off the pace last week. I know Sutton is injured but surely Cooke would be a better option

 

No sure about that I believe its more about managing his recent injury.
