Im far from a happy clapper. But we won't go down this season. And I don't think the problem lies with the manager either.

In the midst of all this depressing state of affairs, I'm still of the opinion that we will survive this season. Southend are doomed. I'm hopeful we are better than 1 other team.
Problem is. Can we arrest the regression? Can we move forward? I've seen nothing to suggest we can but I live in hope.

Its not so much the being shit because that's hardly new is it, its the fact most of our problems are largely self inflicted through complete mismanagement, and the absence of any coherent long term strategy or plan to make the best of what we do have is consigning us to forever being shit and could arguably cause the club to go out of business if we continue as we are. Nobody is asking for Klopp, nobody is asking for multimillion pound data analysis networks. Would you rather have signed DMH or employed a scout? I would rather employ another tea lady than DMH but I digress. If money is limited, we need to spend it fecking smarter. Would we rather have signed chris taylor, or let Bowyer actually have a proper assistant?
Thats arguably the more insulting part in that it's not even like we can't afford even one scout. We're under our spend and there's money in the pot, this has come from stuart several times. Yet we continue to make short sighted and poor decisions while expecting a succession of managers to do the job with one hand tied behind their back. It's no coincidence to me that a multitude of managers with completely contrasting approaches have all failed for us.Andy10, Morley Bantam, Dubois and 1 other person like this. -

Oh, we lost an away match,
Enter stage right.........@RCBantam!!
We’re a bit S**t, I’d love to be able to wave a magic wand, find a Bradford born and bred sugar daddy, employ a forward thinking ambitious manager, real big hitting back room staff.
Unfortunately it’s a pipe dream, and unless we’re sold nothing will change, so RCB, you can keep climbing on your high horse, maybe enough fans will join you and you can drive out SM.
Then what management wise?
we’ve tried young and ambitious, fell on his arse!
We’ve tried I’m too good for this division Mr Championship, terrible!
How about record signing returns with a point to prove.....oh that ended well!!
So my questions would be.......who would you want? Why would they risk their reputation?
How would they get a tune out of this s**t show of a squad?
My opinion........a joint management team of Klopp, Pep & Dyche would struggle to get this lot promoted, until someone comes in to buy us Rupp has kept his word and invested, there are lots of worse owners around.
BTW......I’m not a “happy clapper” Just a realist!!Angryangryian, Bronco and Morley Bantam like this. -

Perhaps Julian is trying to get the full house of relegations? Little bit of history for the Rhodes family.

We won’t go down because Southend will finish bottom with at least 1 other team going bust

game over for bradford city if we get relegated. Dont think stuarts the man but I dont know what good sacking him would do when I think the bigger issues are above him. Would be a moment of absolute shame for those involved with the club at the top level for letting this happen on their watch

Can he be trusted to get promoted at the first attempt.
Crist, he pick a decent player... he's brought some right shite as did Bowyer! -
We don't do planning. When relegation comes, whether its this season or next, we'll deal with it in the usual slip shod, half arsed and reactive manner. It'll include bringing McCall back for a 4th spell.
