Talk of sacking the manager at this stage is absurd yet we could have said the same when McCall was given the boot and we were still in the playoff places. Bowyer still has injury problems that don’t help team selection, that said i expect promotion this season. If that isn’t attained then i’d be happy to look elsewhere.

Don't think the club can afford to be messing about mate. We need promotion this season.

I think we have a run of games now up until the end of the year we should be winning and if we're not top 3 for the start of the next year then he has to leave.

It's a key month this because just as much as I think we should be top 3 come Jan, I can see us midtable/bottom half as we're going backwards.

    Mine was.

Giving him 4 week!! That's a long time for me. Needs to sort himself.

Maybe needs to talk about his Blackpool days more to get him in the mood.

We can't afford to wait until the end of the season.

I don’t really want to think of us in league 2 next season, its hard enough to find the motivation to watch this season already after i spent Saturday watching more dross. Another season with very little in terms of big games does not appeal to me, missing some of the big ocassion games we had in league 1, the likes of Sunderland, Sheffield utd, Parkys return with Bolton games that had you looking at the fixture list. Tell me one game on the league 2 calender to get remotely excited about. The pressure is on Bowyer to deliver the goods.

So if everyone is fit, what’s your best team and formation then? One that can “wipe the floor” ?

includes Doyle if he returns in Jan.

    One for @Bronco@Bronco

For me injuries are part of the game and only come up when a team needs an excuse.

Indeed. But having a quick think, it’s made me realise we’re still missing a left winger :D

Of course injuries are part and parcel of the game but of most of the players out would certainly get in the 18 Saturday squad.
Reeves, Devitt, Palmer, McCartan, Donaldson, Cooke, Doyle.

Fordy when did you start watching Bradford City and why, the reason I ask is during the many years I've watch them we have been lets say mediocre at best with the odd good season thrown in.
The reason I ask is if you have always been so demanding of the owners, manager, team and fans why have you stayed loyal to Bradford City I have accepted over the years that the good seasons have to be cherished as I/we knew they would not go on for long but I have never given up on my team.
Now I accept there are far more things to do on a Saturday yet I still couldn't think of a weekend without football, a genuine serious question why you have stayed watching at team that has and will continue to have limited success with regards football.

Yes, you're correct. Injuries are part and parcel of the game. They have to be expected and that's why clubs have spare capacity and depth in their playing squads. A couple of years ago, somebody researched how many players were unavailable for the match day squad due to injury, illness and suspensions. Averaged over a season, it amounted to 4 players per squad not being available. And that's an average.

Today, we have 7 players unavailable due to injury - Donaldson, Devitt, Palmer, Cooke, McCartan, Riley and Gibson - and one whio has just returned after a very long illness. Whilst injuries have to be expected and therefore managed, we do seem to have more prone to injuries than the average at the mo and that does have some bearing on current results. That isn't to excuse Bowyer from the recent performances and he should be questioned about the balance within his squad. But to use the results arising from a higher than average injury list as an excuse to get rid of him is stretching things too far.

Not convinced even with a fully fit team Bowyer would know his best team.

You only need to look at Saturday with Reeves and Taylor players that haven't played for a while in at CM away.

Vaughan is still not used correctly and Bowyer would still be worrying about the team we are playing rather letting them worry about us.

Even when most were fit we still seemed to look like a team that were struggling to a degree.

Palmer has been disappointing, McCartan isn't good enough but only talked about due to us having no forward on the bench. Digging for excuses when we put Riley and Gibson in to the mix. The only players we are really missing are Donaldson, Doyle and Devitt.

Not talking about Cooke as all of last week it seemed Cooke was going to be dropped and he's only meant to be out for a week.

Injuries are part of the game!

Well you have told me very little there with regards my question, were you a fan before the Premiership days I can only assume you weren't as prior to that Bradford City could never fall into the category your suggest.
As I say why have you stayed with Bradford City when you know there was little chance of anyone addressing our fall from grace, we didn't have a sugar daddy although you think differently.
Forget the fact that Rupp has £110 million he was never intending spending much of it, in fact when you read @Dennis@Dennis's comments with regards what has been published at Company House he has spent less of his own money than many thought.
Why would it be a failure if we did not go up in the auto's, it would be great but I think most would be happy with a promotion through the play offs, your league form means nothing it's which team turns up on the day.
I don't know what Luton have done to get into the Championship from non-league 3/4 seasons ago have they got a sugar daddy, I hear they are getting a new stadium built (not before time) who's paying for that ?, we need to concentrate on our club Bradford City and let the likes of Luton get on with it as they have very little input to what happens at Valley Parade as we do with what happens at Kenilworth Road

Ain't that the most attractive run of fixtures, I don't know how we can contain ourselves, most of those clubs could possibly be playing in the conference in the next few years and as for us............well, it ain't looking good..

This is why we will need to stop making excuses.

The fixtures we have coming up should be winnable but suppose @Bronco@Bronco and some others will be making the old injury excuse if we don't.

If we can't put a run together with them fixtures then we're in trouble.

You were the one making excuses about injuries.

Football is about gaining results with or without injuries, so accept it and don't use it as an excuse!

Riley: Don't think he is going to get back in the team. I liked the look of Henley on Saturday.
Palmer. No - nothing different from Pritchard, Cooke, Reeves, Taylor.
Devit. Haven't seen enough of him. Similar to Reeves/Cooke/Pritchard?
Gibson. No. Unless we're really desperate for a left winger.
    Donaldson. Yes of course.
Doyle. Who the feck knows? At least bringing him back means Swindon don't have him, and we've got back up on the bench.
    Robinson. Who the feck knows?

So yeah, I don't think injuries have really massively affected our performances apart from up top. Bowyer brought in Oteh to solve that situation, yet still doesn't seem to play that formation.

Pretty sure Doyle isn't injured, I read a post somewhere about him playing elsewhere... ;)

I was only joking mate, Robinson technically isn't injured either - although I don't have that on good authority - he could have a broken leg for all I know!
