What it actually shows is just how poor league 2 is. They are a very limited side beset by off field problems.

We are where we are we have 5 more games before we've played 50% of league games, I cant' believe some of the stuff many are posting, sack him....really, we are 7th with a game in hand over a few above us, most have accept we have not produced the kind of football that see's us 7th in the league, but the league table doesn't lie.
Yep I'm going to give him more time awaiting our injured players returning then he'll be judged, sorry guys I want success just as much as the next fan but I'm no where near calling for his head.

Agree Bronco. So much over reaction to drawing away to a team that has only lost 1 home game since March in the league.

As you say, we sit 7th with a game in hand. Sacking the manager now would be madness and unfair.

Every club has injuries let's not use it as an excuse!

He can't even get his team playing for him, he's boring and his tactics are awful.

Yes, we're in 7th but going backwards.

I can fully understand people wanting him out because he's been a let down since he's been here in truth.

Talk of sacking the manager at this stage is absurd yet we could have said the same when McCall was given the boot and we were still in the playoff places. Bowyer still has injury problems that don’t help team selection, that said i expect promotion this season. If that isn’t attained then i’d be happy to look elsewhere.

Don't think the club can afford to be messing about mate. We need promotion this season.

I think we have a run of games now up until the end of the year we should be winning and if we're not top 3 for the start of the next year then he has to leave.

It's a key month this because just as much as I think we should be top 3 come Jan, I can see us midtable/bottom half as we're going backwards.

    Mine was.

Giving him 4 week!! That's a long time for me. Needs to sort himself.

Maybe needs to talk about his Blackpool days more to get him in the mood.

We can't afford to wait until the end of the season.

I don’t really want to think of us in league 2 next season, its hard enough to find the motivation to watch this season already after i spent Saturday watching more dross. Another season with very little in terms of big games does not appeal to me, missing some of the big ocassion games we had in league 1, the likes of Sunderland, Sheffield utd, Parkys return with Bolton games that had you looking at the fixture list. Tell me one game on the league 2 calender to get remotely excited about. The pressure is on Bowyer to deliver the goods.

If you remember many did say Stuart as couldn't pull us out of our poor form it did not surprise them that Rahic & Rupp showed him the door.
Bowyer can't have a free pass as you say promotion is a necessity not an option.

So if everyone is fit, what’s your best team and formation then? One that can “wipe the floor” ?

includes Doyle if he returns in Jan.

    One for @Bronco@Bronco

For me injuries are part of the game and only come up when a team needs an excuse.

Indeed. But having a quick think, it’s made me realise we’re still missing a left winger :D

Of course injuries are part and parcel of the game but of most of the players out would certainly get in the 18 Saturday squad.
Reeves, Devitt, Palmer, McCartan, Donaldson, Cooke, Doyle.

Fordy when did you start watching Bradford City and why, the reason I ask is during the many years I've watch them we have been lets say mediocre at best with the odd good season thrown in.
The reason I ask is if you have always been so demanding of the owners, manager, team and fans why have you stayed loyal to Bradford City I have accepted over the years that the good seasons have to be cherished as I/we knew they would not go on for long but I have never given up on my team.
Now I accept there are far more things to do on a Saturday yet I still couldn't think of a weekend without football, a genuine serious question why you have stayed watching at team that has and will continue to have limited success with regards football.

Yes, you're correct. Injuries are part and parcel of the game. They have to be expected and that's why clubs have spare capacity and depth in their playing squads. A couple of years ago, somebody researched how many players were unavailable for the match day squad due to injury, illness and suspensions. Averaged over a season, it amounted to 4 players per squad not being available. And that's an average.

Today, we have 7 players unavailable due to injury - Donaldson, Devitt, Palmer, Cooke, McCartan, Riley and Gibson - and one whio has just returned after a very long illness. Whilst injuries have to be expected and therefore managed, we do seem to have more prone to injuries than the average at the mo and that does have some bearing on current results. That isn't to excuse Bowyer from the recent performances and he should be questioned about the balance within his squad. But to use the results arising from a higher than average injury list as an excuse to get rid of him is stretching things too far.

We've injuries but all squads do at some point.

All of McCartan, Donaldson and Doyle wouldn't be in the squad if all fit.

The problem with our squad is its unbalanced because of Bowyer's poor recruitment and obsession with midfielders.

In terms of when I have followed City. I am a lot younger than you you mate for sure but when you grew up with the local business man being able to run a football club and it was just a game I wasn't born then. I was born in a time in which football is a businesss and the Rhodes of the world can't really afford to run a football club.

My beef at the moment is we currently do have an owner that can afford to take us to the next level but he's the wrong owner because it would seem he's unwilling to build an infrastructure here and move the club forward. Problem I see are teams like Luton are overtaking us on and off the pitch and that pees me off massively!

We make poor decisions as a club and safe decisions then wonder why we're in div 2.

Anything but Automatic promotion is failure! We need to start setting standards because they're at an all time low for a club and City like Bradford!

Not convinced even with a fully fit team Bowyer would know his best team.

You only need to look at Saturday with Reeves and Taylor players that haven't played for a while in at CM away.

Vaughan is still not used correctly and Bowyer would still be worrying about the team we are playing rather letting them worry about us.

Even when most were fit we still seemed to look like a team that were struggling to a degree.

Palmer has been disappointing, McCartan isn't good enough but only talked about due to us having no forward on the bench. Digging for excuses when we put Riley and Gibson in to the mix. The only players we are really missing are Donaldson, Doyle and Devitt.

Not talking about Cooke as all of last week it seemed Cooke was going to be dropped and he's only meant to be out for a week.

Injuries are part of the game!

You cannot have been watching City long then. Because I am struggling to recall owners that were not local businessmen until Rupp and Rahic rolled into town
