Not happy to pay a penny more.
The budget is substantial and they squander it badly.
Squandering an even bigger budget that we're funding is stupidity defined.
Once we have competent leadership, I'll pay more, but not doing it for the sake of it.

I'd be all for a price increase, if that then meant an improvement in the product I was watching once a fortnight. I have zero confidence that I'd see that though and an increase in price and a similar product to this season probably means fewer renewals in the following season I expect.
I'm also far from comfortable with Rupp's supposed sustainability doctrine, the way I see it, he's expecting to ultimately make a profit on something that he's undeniably degraded and that fans (plus commercial and football side of the business profits) have actually funded. I'd be willing to pay more if he was attempting to at least invest enough to get the club back into the position it was in when he bought it. There's scant evidence that we're seeing that though.
I'm torn between sticking it out and hoping that things change (either through luck or because the club is sold) or remove my support entirely and wash my hands with City under Rupp. I doubt that I'm alone in considering whether continuing to watch City is worth my time and money, even if it is cheap, it's honestly been more of a chore than something to look forward to this season.Kopendin1964, RCarol, Get Rid Of It and 2 others like this. -
There are thousands of kids tickets in the total at 30 pounds a season. I think some people buy one to reserve a seat next to them all season for 30 pounds.

I like the cut of GA's gib more than any manager since parky. Give him time and he could be the one.

I would expect us to have more non playing staff than players.
Medical
Recruitment
Commercial
Maintenance and ground staff
Ticketing
Media and marketing
All departments that need staffing. Not going to adequately run a club with staffing levels lower than a 25 man playing squad.Storck, Bronco and Allotment Bantam like this. -

It's down to poor leadership and recruitment.
Last season was a great opportunity to get promoted, but somehow Hughes managed to bottle it and blow our chances.
The bloated summer recruitment that left us with far more quantity than quality has knocked us way back and provided us with a shocking season.
4 home wins so far is a disgrace, and hardly entices punters to want to pay more for the shoddy product on offer.
I know quite a few people who have been ST holders for many years seriously quitting this summer and taking a break from it all.Kopendin1964, chris mac and Chris Withe like this. -
We are waiting to see how the rest of the season goes tbh. It is not the money even if they put it up, but up to now we have been 2 steps forward 3 steps back. We are showing signs we want to try and get in the playoffs even though it might be a stretch. So far this January is shaping up. Every time I see GA and hear him speak I become more confident he can get all the players going. He is also making the hard choices about who can stay and who unfortunately we have to send them on their way.

As others have said I would be happy to pay more BUT in the knowledge that the people spending the money actually knew what they were doing. Up to date I cannot , hand on heart, say that our recruitment team has delivered.

So if you look at the Bank of England Inflation Calculator https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/monetary-policy/inflation/inflation-calculator You can Put £138 in the 2007 option and see what it would have been in March 2023 (when the current deal for this season was released). The figure is £217.43.
So the price of Season Ticket using inflation is pro rata is cheaper than 2007.
The figures available at present, based on £198 in March 2023, then in December 2023 (the most recent figures available) an inflation linked increase, would bring the cost to £203.18.
I would guess that if inflation stayed the same @Storck figure of £205 for 2024/5 would be reasonable. If you reset at the 2007 figure of £138, then a sum of around £225 would reflect the increase in inflation over the 17 year period.Ulysses S Grant and Storck like this. -
The Club will know its data and set prices accordingly. There are a potential 22 -23,000 seats to make revenue on, including ST sales and home match purchases. The product - match day experience - is the balancing variable. Given the so so nature of the latter to date, unless the Club really is financially in jeopardy, an increase in line with inflation would be just about palatable, in my view.

I love that idea of a discount for long standing ST holders, but doubt our systems could handle that

Can you imagine the meltdown if prices were higher in the Morrisons and Midland Road stands?
“I’ve sat with the same people for years and now I can’t afford it”
it is the right thing to do though. Why should someone in the top corner of the Kop with a restricted view pay the same as someone sat on the half way line?bantamlad92 likes this. -

This means there are fewer decent seats available to buy on a match by match basis.
The club really needs to look at that and find a way to analyse how many of these cheap kids tickets are actually used / scanned on a matchday.chris mac likes this. -
Ill renew as long as DD option is available.
My enthusiasm for renewing depends on how well we end the season and how strong the anti Rupp stuff is if results are bad - will boycott if its only way to drive change and it seems that’s only way forward for the club.
Wright was a good signing to appease fans but we must go on another run now and time the new marketing campaign to coincide with that.Bronco likes this. -

Of course supporters can afford it.
Loads have season tickets and don't show up when the games on IFollow and pay another tenner to watch it at home.
£50 increase, £5 a month on the direct debit scheme.
A fiver FFS!!
If some are quabbling over that much then we've no chance of moving up the leagues.Loyalbantam likes this. -
