Only change to the market before it closed is McDonald is now 1/2 and Neil Lennon has entered the market at 6/1.

The MK job is on the market as well, unsurprisingly Karl Robinson is the favourite

 

Initially I was thinking "please no, don't really want him" but having now looked at his record at this level, maybe he wouldn't be a bad gamble? It is only MK where he's not shone, 16 games isn't exactly being patient. Quite sure we could do much worse than him

 

He's ruled himself out, when we've been looking previously.
He preferred Motherwell to us when, we recruited Adams.

 

A good performance on Saturday, added with the whole hearted backing from the squad, then this becomes a one-horse race.
It'll all then depend on whether KM wishes to cross the finishing line.

 

On paper, we could do a lot worse. However, it's his style of management that's the red flag. Rubs players up the wrong way with his ways from the looks of things. His MK style was criticised by fans & media. He only wanted to play a possession based 4231.... sounds familiar.

“Our possession stats, control of games, our ball retention, our pass accuracy has gone up, the number of shots and expected goals has gone up, expected goals against has dropped significantly. All those metrics have improved. The things that have gone down are shot accuracy and the results.

“Everyone wants a win, but at certain clubs, you have to win a certain way. And if you look at the stats from the last month, you'd think we were a certain type of team who plays a certain type of way.”

Yeah I had wondered that. With players like Kemp sent out on loan, you have to wonder if Alexander clashes with folk. Saying that Kemp was also loaned out to Hartlepool last season, before Alexander was manager.

Looks like he's had clashes all over the shop. The previous manager said Kemp wasn't ready for L1 football last summer so wanted game time. No idea what happened with him and Alexander this summer. They had Kemp, went out and got Jack Payne on loan to fill his spot.

Some of the Alexander-isms reading up on him this morning are pretty much identical to the complaints around Hughes. Stubborn play, fall outs with players type of things. Just one of those that doesn't feel like he'd fit in well with this crop.

Surely we have learnt our lessons and need a full interview and recruitment process this time around?
We cannot give the job to a manager based on 3 matches?

Actually Mike Williamson is the favourite there at 1/6, watch him go there, do really well and we not take that punt.

It’s relating to the rumours that Parkinson Is interested in returning as manager.

 

I think we've had confirmation that he is interested and he's being interviewed this week!!

 

I have to say he has done a fantastic job with The 'Heed. Taking over when he did it would have been acceptable to consolidate in The National League North. But he took them back up as Champions within three seasons.

He deserves a crack at a bigger club. But it would have been good if he'd stayed and managed to return Gateshead to league football. Gateshead were very unfortunate to lose their place in Division Four ten years before your neighbours. Sadly Gateshead's attendances are pathetic; there are probably fifty Newcastle supporters in Gateshead for every loyal fan supporting their own town's team.

 

Imagine the flak if he came here and failed
