Next manager

I am not bothered which one it is I just want to play on the front foot as we have in the last two games. We have played negative football in one form or another to long.
If it’s league two tactics that gets us out of the this league so be it we can play better football on a more suitable stage higher up the leagues.

Yet another article that mentions the phrase "impossible job", albeit "seemingly".

All these experts aren't wrong, and it's time fans kinda woke up to the reality we're facing.

Yeah, it's not impossible, but it's significantly tougher to be Bradford City manager than it needs to be.

Unless we all start rowing in the same direction under proper leadership that has been absent since Mark Lawn left, I'm worried it's a little bit more 'impossible' than we all are prepared to accept.

 

Let’s be honest Jon, these are column filling inches of word salad, written mostly by people who know nothing about our club and telling us absolutely nothing in the process. Its content is made up either of “stuff” we already know, is blatantly obvious or mere speculation .

You are right , they add zero to the issue.

 

Actually Aaron Bower knows quite a bit about our club. He is the person who runs the Bantams Heritage number initiative I believe.

 

It’s a load of rubbish. With a little better decision making last season we would have been promoted. We need people to live up to their reputations.

 

Spot on park. Although not perfect, this football club has everything set up for promotion , except ,managers we all deemed as good appointments, who have continually failed to produce football of the standard required on a consistent enough basis to actually gain said promotion.
Hughes was close, but in the end blew his chance with negative tactics at the last hurdle and never recovered.
I am not sure who should bet he next manager, they have all failed somewhere at some point.
Whoever gets the job they will be given all the tools needed, they just need to use them correctly.

 

How does that work? How do we, as fans, "all row in the same direction"?

Should we have been more patient with Hughes? With Adams? With Bowyer?

We support the team in huge numbers home and away that are without doubt the envy of the rest of league two and probably the majority of league one so I'm not sure there's too much more we should be doing.

 

We did not clap hard enough whilst being bored to death by Hughes football.
Last Saturday, after only 2 days in charge , Kevin Mac showed exactly how to get us all rowing the same way.
We were not perfect by any means, but the high press ,90 minutes play and get the ball forward a little quicker got the fans on their feet and helped bring the team home.
This stadium with 16000+ home fans behind the team is an asset not a liability, if we see the effort to actually win games with a bit of entertainment thrown in.

 

Theres a bit of a myth built up that the fans are 'over demanding' and expect too much. Generally speaking, the vast majority of us just want to be entertained for 90 minutes either on a Saturday afternoon or or Tuesday evening. And with what happened under Richmond and the run under Parkinson to the edges of league 2 added to the fan base and the size of the stadium we rightly expect to be a team fighting for promotion in this division.
That isn't over expecting, that's what is expected of 'bigger' clubs in their respective divisions. Derbys fans will feel exactly the same in league 1, same with the fans of Leeds and Man City when they dropped to league 1.

 

According to the YP, some of the applicants for the job are former city managers wanting another bite of the cherry. I bet Bowyer is one of them, I wonder who else?

Wouldn't surprise me. On the application form under where it says - why have you applied for this job?, he's probably written, 'because I told you that you wouldn't get anyone better than me'.

Finally waking up! Leadership starts from the top and Rupp & Sparks team are ruining this club!

But hey it’s sustainable! Let’s all blame another manager but we are all too thick to understand what the real problems are.
