Was just a rumour earlier but its now being reported that Crawley have given permission for Scott Lindsay to talk to Gillingham.

 

Results get you credit. Nothing else matters.

Why would an ambitious manager be scared of Warnock as DOF. He should want to learn from him.

Problem with this club you have far too many senior people thinking about themselves and their benefits. Let’s not make the manager another one.

 

Glad you have come out with the rest of us and smelled the coffee. Nobody on here has a clue because the Club does n't. It's now another 24 hrs since my post and we have no further up-date after three weeks plus. This is the root of the problem. Lets both be honest, there is no plan and there is nothing you or I can do about it apart from rant and vent on here.

 

Lot of managerial vacancies at this moment in time.
I don't expect City to sign a manager that will demand a large salary for their service's.
Any money spare will have been used in negotiations to finalise Hughes severance pay settlement.
If rumours are true that Rupp hasn't put anything financially into the club's coffers of late and the social media talk of a take over in the wings still not materialising, just can't see anything other than a cheap appointment.

One thing's for certain it would be a huge challenge that's for sure.
Perhaps we could hire him on a selected match to to match basis.
How much would one of his team talks cost?
It won't happen financially.

 

Not a chance Warnock even entertains the idea a DOF role. He's 75 in a few weeks and said he has the management buzz. The bloke lives for the touchline, not a chance he does all the background work only, he's a manager that will want the run the whole shabang.

 

Not saying he would. I answered his post. However, to answer yours he might want to take on a new challenge.

This club is in urgent need of real footballing people to help Sparks and Rupp.

 

Did McDonald play under Warnock in his Blades years? He’d be a decent assistant for Kev!

 

Nope, he was long gone before Kev. Warnock left in May 2007, McDonald joined in summer 2011.

Whoever joins, I reckon City try and get McDonald to be a player-coach.

 

Think the bumper crowd against Wrexham, will have justified and compensated for sacking Hughes, probably 5000 more tickets sold than if he’d still been in charge

 

I don’t need any advice thank you, neither does a private business, you don’t own, nor have a shareholding in . I don’t vent , too old for that, venting by nature is fact free.
I know what succession and business plans are, I have written more than you have probably had hot dinners so don’t need educating on that topic. They are very difficult to construct with any certainty, football which is a sport , has far, far too many variables to be certain of any outcomes.

 

I want to keep on playing for now, I also want to win the lottery this weekend.

 

Or there is a plan, but you have no divine right, or need, to be party to it ?

 

And wants semi retirement. I posted the week after MH went that DoF would be ideal for Warnock as it’s a job he could do part time.

 

If we had a plan we would have appointed our new Manager within 48 hours of MH leaving.
The club would have identified them prior to sacking MH.
