I agree with all this post except the bit about Abbott who I think is a scapegoat for everything.
I also think that the appointment of Collins was a massive mistake as was taking Grayson without him committing to us.
I also I think it was a mistake letting Mason go because he was a great face of Bradford city and could have helped with public relations..
I guess the thought was he wasn’t needed as we have a full time CEO anyway.
However I do think the owners have done good things taking on cheap football. Pitch and ticketing improvements Taking the franchises in house.
So mistakes have been made but imagine the outcry if they were to announce tomorrow that we were thinking of selling up and moving to Odsal and taking the fixtures and fittings.
Like everybody else if there was people out there with money and motivation who had the means to make the club better then they would be welcome. But the club has been effectively up for sale for years with Zero interest from all except time wasters.lest make the best of what we have got

 

Out if interest, what are these ticketing improvements? A website redevelopment sure, but that's all I can see. The site itself is still as broken as the last one was and we still don't have any loyalty points system.

 

When Lawn and Rhodes said that financially they couldn't take us further I would say even the most negative of fans was fairly optimistic that the partnership of Rupp and Rahic would take us to the next level. And with a reputed offer of between and £5 and 6 million from the Germans it seemed they were serious in their quest to take us to the next level. What has transpired is somewhat different. Its not really a partnership as such, more Stefan Rupp funding the wet dream and vanity project of Edin Rahic. And unfortunately, as part of that dream, Edin wants a say in what goes on the pitch.
The brutal reality is this is Edin's last throw of the dice. If Hopkin fails, this ship is going down. You can forget your three year plans and your development squads, its back to the khazi league. 5 years of progress gone, spunked away on some mad real life version of championship manager. Difference being, on Championship manager you can just switch the laptop off and start again.
So the ball is in your court Mr Rahic. Because i ain't watching league 2 football next whether we get relegated or not.

 

As I have posted elsewhere it should be a case of getting behind David Hopkin and the players Saturday but also letting Edin know how the majority of fans feel. The one thing we don't need is fans turning on each other regardless of opinions we all want what is best for OUR CLUB.

And the shops a waste of time,catering still by the same company no improvement to facility’s. A coat of paint in the Bantams Bar only, the toilets are disgusting . I can’t really see improvements at all. Oh sorry nearly forgot they have disassembled our team

 

Nothing wrong with the passion at Blackpool, it was Sunday league mistakes that cost us, 2-0 up we did not do the things that we were doing at 0-0, the first pen being a prime example you dont let the ball bounce on the edge of your box, I don't think there will be a lack of passion from either the players selected or the fans on the day.

 

Have they taken food and drink back in house, I know they have with the shop ?.

 

No it’s still the same caterers Edin extended there contract by 12 months.

 

The shop is vastly overpriced and so is the food. No difference really.

 

Hopefully even if the prices are the same the club will get a bigger cut.

 

Bigger cut of a smaller pot, there’s no way they’re selling more kits and merchandise than the last two seasons, this season’s kits are poor in comparison.

Yes - And showing some desire to 'bust a gut' to 'right their wrongs' would be a good place to start.

 

Out of interest how is that possible without causing unrest within the stadium, which in turn will potentially roll onto the players and impact performance, thus not getting behind the players or Hopkin?

Not a criticism, genuine question.

 

Charlton is the ideal game to do it. No chance of winning anyway.

 

The protest wouldn't be about the players or manager so shouldn't and wouldn't effect them.
