So I remain sceptical for now but it’s great to see a win and cook finding the net again.

 

But here’s where I disagree, because I don’t think he did do what was asked of him. He kept giving the ball away, whether by misplaced passes or being caught in possession trying to do fancy stuff. And it wasn’t just once, it was five or six times in fifteen minutes. Most of the times he touched the ball, he lost it. The fact that we scored again and successfully saw the game out was, to my eyes, in spite of him continually coughing up possession. The point of bringing on a late sub with fresh legs, when ahead, is to help keep the ball and take the pressure off those who’ve been on all game. What Osedebe did was the exact opposite - he put pressure back on our defence and midfield by frequently giving the ball away.

 

Osadabe has massively frustrated me in the past for performances exactly as you detail above. However I have to say I don’t recall him been as wasteful on Saturday as he has been in the past. In fact, I thought he did ‘ok’ and in his last 3-5 games he’s been better than he has been. Maybe the luxury of Saturdays scoreline clouded my observation on this occasion???

You also have to question why he can't spell our centre forwards name correctly after seeing his name constantly flash up on the BBC football scores pages.

 

O'Connor had absolutely nothing to do apart from clear the ball for our goal, which he left to the keeper who flunked it. He wasn't impressive just because we didnt notice him.

 

I didn't notice Yann in that game either but apparently, he's integral to Harrogate staying up this season.

Exactly my point. If he'd been further forward with the keeper on his line, then O'connor could have cleared the header. He was doing what he does well. Hiding.

 

Halliday and Stubbs were both there and should play. Pattison and Chapman probably don't make it though!
