It’s a word , if you say wrongly used then happy to accept that but it don’t let it detract from the intent . I asked somebody else why they came to the same conclusion as you and one misplaced pass and a shot over the bar from a free kick and he’s given the same accredited performance rating for being on for about 15 mins as the most inept player I have seen in a football shirt in years Drysdale . He came on to do a job , take Odours place because he was knackered and it worked . Remember we scored after he came on? ( He had nothing to do with the goal) . I don’t get this continual beating up of fringe , squad players , especially coming on for just a few minutes, to help run the game down . He’s a squad player, so are about 15 others , not sufficient to merit a team place in the first 11 but worthy enough to come on and do a job . He did what was asked of him.

They were so excited to have Drysdale back, and then he gets COOKed like that....

I'll be interested to see how it gets on, when they'll be a bit less pressure (because he's coming back from a bad injury) and he plays his favoured LM position.

I admire his attitude, he does give a frig - probably too much, but I forget that he's only 25 and so still learning to a degree.

Pattison and McDonald with Walker making up the triangle? Yes please!

    Doubtful of what?

It's just that Cook and Pattison have played half of the games already this season and we've been very uninspiring.

Feel free to knee jerk though because, of course, Chapman fires us to automatic promotion single handedly after nearly 6 months out.

I think people also don't seem to realise that Osadebe is also match fit unproven, because he rarely starts, i.e. unlike say Walker and now as we see with Eisa at Grimsby - he's not been allowed to show what he can do, because he can't possibly be mentally match fit.

I reckon if Chapman had been available, he'd probably have been sent out on loan to get that match fitness.

But you're correct we do tend to have a few fans quick to dive in at players, who are only on the fringe of the team. Eisa got loads of abuse last season and look at him now. Some of the stuff written about Jordan Gibson, when he was here, was just OTT negativity - look at him at Carlisle now, a regular starter in L1.

You seem to forget that both our last minute attacking loanees, look useful. But let's forget about Tulloch, because he contributed nothing yesterday. :p

Afoka looks useful? Do you even watch the games?

And yes, Tulloch was good yesterday but after 90 minutes you've already made up your mind yet call me knee jerk because I'm suggesting we're poor after "only 11 games"?

You make absolutely no sense and it's obvious to 99% of the forum.

One win and you take over the forum again - embarrassing! Have a little love fest with the usual suspects, all is well again and act superior to all comments that question Hughes ultra negative attitude before yesterday.
Agree it probably wasn't the fans that directly caused the change of approach but Hughes did get the message loud and clear! Fortunately for him he is totally secure (financially) in life so can afford to be somewhat passive in his reactions. I am certain strong words were expressed by the hierarchy last week, the fact Hughes said it was just a 'normal' catch up might not be the whole truth.

Delighted for team and fans who braved Newport yesterday, and yes i am pleased for Hughes too. But one swallow doesn't make a summer - we must continue with a more positive, front foot approach. We are capable of better than MH has achieved so far with the free hand and backing he has been given. This must be a stepping stone to progress

    Kev I’m aff
Afoka was very good in his second half appearance in the last match but one. Any centre forward especially one playing out of position would have struggled against the 9 men behind the ball of Harrogate with the vastly experienced OConnor. I think the lad will do well

It's one game, I'm absolutely not writing him off and I hope he does well but for @banbrotam@banbrotam to suggest he was "useful" on what we've seen so far is a complete nonsense.

Not a surprise, but nonsense all the same.

It's 100% a mental block as he's technically decent... in all seriousness they either need to just drill him with shooting constantly or get him to a sports psychologist if he isn't already - as you say though, coming back in the team with less pressure may help

LOL!! And of course you make perfect "sense" to that 99%.

Oh! And I was there at the Harrogate game and Afoka looked "useful". No he's not Cooke or McGoldrick but he's also not as bad as you make out.

Face it. You've been unimpressed with numerous players, who have gone on to have decent careers elsewhere. It's hilarious that you think that your mantra, which basically means moaning about players if they have three average games on the trot, is at all relevant.

As some of us keep pointing out (even 'happy clappers' like me) it's D4 and it's pretty poor fair - so expecting scintillating performances any more than 1 out of every 5, is living in cloud cuckoo land.

O'Conner was impressive. I can honestly say, I've never seen him have a bad match - even when we got relegated, I thought he was the best of a bad bunch.

Him and Yann (if he can stay on the pitch!!) can keep Harrogate up.

Not sure there's much Yann can do to keep Harrogate up when he plays for Morecambe.

Harrogate have AOC, Foulds, Sutton and Matty Daly, but no Yann.

    Classic @banbrotam@banbrotam .

Yet that wasn't even the daftest part of that particular post.
