Yeah, there was a small area with nobody standing, right at the end of the canopy at the back. I assumed the reason it wasn't occupied was because the rain was blowing in there, so we decided to stay put.

 

I haven't read the T&A article but from Parkers tweet it seems that Adam Clayton also thought we took the foot off the gas in the second half when we should have gone for it.

 

Not sure if they took their foot off the gas, its more likely they are running on empty, after 4 away games in 5 , one a pretty long trip on a Tuesday to Gillingham another disrupted through the weather at Newport.
This week with no midweek match has probably come at the right time, we do have a few older player's of which Adam Clayton looks knackered to me after about 15 minutes of a match.

 

And the rules of the game are and were correctly applied. Lewis caught the ball out of his area, but there is no way it could be described as a goal scoring opportunity as it was a punt upfield.

In those circumstances, I would have hoped that Hughes showed the same opinion and said the ref got it correct with a yellow card.

 

They all looked tired tbh. Such a gruelling schedule and no defeats, is pretty damn good. This week should help!

 

I am more than happy with our points haul over the last 5 games or so, but I still can't help feeling we've left a few points out there

 

Probably two points, but we cannot win every game, especially on the road. Win hom, draw away will do me!
