Can't manage much when collectively we lack footballing intelligence as much as ability What a mess, what a shambles of a squad.No cohesion, little aggression and absolutely no resolve or knowhow throughout the team. As someone mentioned earlier, with the wind behind us in the 2nd half we may just do better ...but we bloody well need commitment!

Stick a fork in me. Too many of the squad don’t have the balls, commitment, desire, ability, shrewdness or chance of getting anything out of this season.

Those who said mid table were correct. A good clean out at the end of the season and we’re back in familiar territory - rebuilding AGAIN!

Happy to hear we were at least better in the second half, however it’s just not good enough. We can’t play as bad as we have all season, have such a woeful defence and be so bad away from home as we are.

Start planning for next season now.

 

Will be interesting to see who he signs and how we start next season, because this one is over - we are a team of bottlers.

 

I can only guess that Akpan has a good agent who inserted a clause that Hopeless plays if he is not injured. otherwise, I just dont see what any manager we have had since he signed sees in him. It really is bewildering

About an hour in, I resigned myself to the fact that we simply arent good enough to go up. I wrote off the result and started to watch the game for any signs of encouragement. Might sound like scraping the barrel, but there were a couple. The intent was there - we tried to play on the front foot, we were getting bodies into the box, DMH and POC in particular showed spirit. AoC should stay at right back - he looked much better than either Henley or Mellor do.

We need to be realistic. A huge rebuild is needed, McCall needs to be backed in the summer to make big, big changes to the squad.

 

I aint watching 5 seasons of league 2 football again, I'll find something enjoyable to do. Currently 77th in the table of professional football clubs in England. What's the point?

 

Just making the comment that Roger made, and unfortunately it's looking like that's what it may take, I get what your saying mate and watching another couple of seasons in this league would be painful, maybe I'm easily pleased but as long as Bradford City are playing at Valley Parade I'll be there mate all being well, I won't be happy and I can understand your comment let's hope Rogers prediction is wrong.

 

Jamie Devitt scored 12 goals and umpteen assists last season and he can’t get a game. What is going on there. He will never reach full fitness if he doesn’t get a game. Or have we an abundance of riches keeping him out

 

"Recovered"? That would suggest he was making a positive contribution before the event.

 

I'll always like and appreciate what McCall did for us as a player, and his last time out as manager, but for me, his reappointment was the wrong move and shows nothing more than short sightedness from our board! He was always the safe option. He has given the fans brief lift but has done very little with the team. Theres been no new manager bounce this time. The timing of his appointment only a few days after the close of the window, smacks of panic, seeing us lose players like Vaughan and Doyle (who no longer wanted to be here) and replacing them with journeymen and L2 dross nobody else wanted, (again on long term deals when wed just managed to get rid of some of the other poor signings) sets alarm bells ringing.

This season is pretty much done with and here we face yet another season in the Khazi league!

The problem is with our club theres no ambition or clear direction to improve. No infrastructure under the current regime to carry us forward. An owner simply has to want to be here. They need to have a real passion to want to carry us forward and I'm afraid while Rupp remains in charge we'll simply plod along. It's a finance game now. We need someone to come in who wants to spend some serious cash, and sort the stadium issue - whether that's buy it back or renegotiate the rent, reduce some of the overheads, and see that the low season ticket prices to present 'great value', has now run its course, to allow real investment in the first team, improve the scouting network and get the right personnel in the building from top to bottom, if that means including a director of football then so be it.

Unless things change we'll continue to plod along. We're stagnating and it's going to follow the same pattern until we have a real rethink and change at the top with someone who has real aspirations of success

Another waste of oxygen looking for attention and getting. Just pity this sort of individual and ignore them, not worth wasting your energy getting angry about them.
