    Morning Jason
I would take no notice of @Fordy117@Fordy117 , he likes to stir . I am a long term city fan and i am also deeply worried about the situation at VP , we have shed the " new" fans by the bucket load ok thats understandable regarding the current situation , what concerns me more is that the core fans are also begining to fall away . The toxic atmosphere that surrounds VP isn't he;lping anyone , my row in A block lower Kop was ( last season ) full , this season there's 5 of us . All around me is the same , not many have turned on the team despite their woeful effort's but unless things improve that may change . I know Julian will take this onboard and hopefully pull things round . What worries me though is if we go down , will the club have the ability to survive on a much lower monetary stream ?, time will tell i suppose , very hard few months in front of us .

    Morning Jason,

    Glad I have your attention.

    Sorry, I fully disagree.

As I am sure you're aware the Bradford City fans have been nothing short of amazing st the games. A club that's only won twice on a Saturday in a calendar year so far to get the backing it does makes me proud.

However, to even suggest you want more from them and for them not to voice their concerns when it's crystal clear that Edin and Rupp have ruined the club is an embrassment.

How much more do you expect fans to take?

We lost 3k fans and them fans won't write into the club to tell the club why they're not attending. We will lose another 1-3k if Edin and Rupp stay. I believe in football you've let fans air their views and as the recent poll in the T &a A states most blame the owners.

I really don't care if you had pawn sandwiches with Mr Rhodes and maybe you know the situation is worse than what it really is but until Edin and Rupp sell up then this club is going to the wall.

Sorry, it's time WOAP start supporting the fans. I mean how much money do we have to spend in Jan? Considering the owners haven't put their hands in their pockets to buy players nothing.

So, Mr Rhodes coming back changes everything? I think not.

I admire your work and you sound a nice man but it's not a time to be nice when the club I love is in serious trouble.

    Back the fans!

@Jason McKeown@Jason McKeown oh and tell your mate Mr Thornton at the Pulse to stop blaming the ref all the time in games. It's embarrassing!!

Back the fans or the owners. Your call! Never lose your way because you've a few pawn sandwiches.

    WINNER

Great to hear that your inside info strongly suggests that Edin is finished. He has been an unmitigated disaster and should go as soon as possible.
But a drop to L2 would be catastrophic so we must do what we can to support Julian and Hopkin to get us to safety. It's a very tall order but it's our best hope of avoiding financial meltdown.

Jason, I think the vast majority on here who read Width of a Post, fully appreciate the publication’s stance on the current state of Denmark Bradford City and where you believe the responsibility lies. WOAP articles strike a chord with most of us on here.

We recognise that you have a different relationship with R&R, than Bantams Talk, in particular given the demise of Boy from Brazil (although there may well have been more to that). Bantam Talk has a very broad base of fans, predominantly adults. Sometimes the comments of one or two are slightly idiosyncratic, some deliberate to provoke a reaction, others rather perplexing, and some ....... well just something!

You may have seen that I put something on BT about the difficulties WOAP have had in arranging an interview with Rahic (and presumably Rupp), that was based on comments in the City Gent editorial and may well be somewhat out of date. Have you or anyone else for that matter had any discussions with either of the owners since the infamous (hollow?) ‘Sorry’ statement in September?

When R&R came in, from a personal point of view they were ‘unknowns’. I did think that Rahic’s history and how he apparently had gained enough personal wealth to purchase the club, was somewhat ‘unclear’. I was taken aback by some of his comments and his stance about ‘Football’. The subsequent demise of City, and his what could be termed as aloof behaviour, has only served to jaundice my opinion. It will require a vast amount of remedial work (evidence based) on Rahic’s part, to change to the better.

In respect of packing VP, I think that may well be a little optimistic. I think you could also look at it from the stance of, ‘this demonstrates the depth of feeling and damage done to the relationship between Club and Supporters’.

How on earth is it a WINNER?

You been to the games this season? Every single game and in most of them the manager, players, owners have been an embarrassment we've supported the team.

So what else do you want us to do? Oh that's right try to convince your mate, family member, ex city goer to come along for a pound. You might want to lie to people close to you but I won't.

Div 1 or Div 2 under Edin and Rupp this club is in serious trouble. Until they sell up then then just clapping City players won't be enough.

City fans get behind the team anyway. Now we need to get behind getting these owners out!

Can you explain something which you quoted in your recent WOAP article?

In your opening paragraph in relation to JR coming on board in a new role, you say

"Instead there was the shock news of Julian Rhodes’ return to help out the club. Crucially working alongside, rather than instead of, Rahic."

That suggests to me that Rahic and JR are working together in some capacity.

Later in your article you say something which contradicts that very point ..

"Based on what Rhodes has said to us, we’re confident and reassured that it is he, not Rahic, calling the shots"

I find those two statements contradictory. Can you explain how you arrived at such a different interpretation of the new Rahic-JR relationship and how you now understand the day-to-day decision making at VP?

I raised the same issue earlier in this thread but have yet to have had any insight into their new relationship

Problem with @Jason McKeown@Jason McKeown he sounds like he has his favourites to suit him and their agenda.

    Mason, McCall, Thornton and Rhodes...

Learn this Jason.. Like the club over individuals.

What puzzles me is the statement that Julian's return was 'shock news'. It was strongly rumoured on here ages ago. And the suggestion that it was only first mooted on Sunday is also hard to believe.

Okay, a lot to unpack here.

First of all, I have not said I want more from fans. And in the article I made the point several times, in agreement with you, that fans have been magnificent in supporting the team. Is the atmosphere as good as it was under the Parky years? No, but it has been great. The key word is ‘focus’ that I used. I said I think we should focus on helping the team avoid relegation.

You say “start supporting the fans” but this absolutely flawed. Open your eyes, do you really think everyone is sat in agreement on things? What you mean is I should be supporting fans who share your view. That is a big difference. I’ve looked around at all the social media sites and whilst as ever there is not universal agreement the majority of fans do seem to agree we should help the team in their incredibly difficult task of avoiding relegation. And that as even though they dislike Edin as much as you do, there is hope that Julian is now in charge. The SC1903 have dropped plans for a protest at the Oxford game for this very reason.

So saying WOAP is not supporting the fans is a baseless accusation that simply doesn’t stack up.

If we all we do is focus on driving Edin out with pitch forks, the danger is the damage it does to the football club that could have long and lasting consequences. We could not only be relegated but on our knees financially. And it might be incredibly difficult to recover. Now fine, doing that gets rid of Edin. But what about the next 5-10 years? Or do we just accept being a shell of a football club?

I believe Edin’s days are numbered and that he will leave in the not too distant future anyway. I would be amazed if he was still here next season. So I just think we should be focusing on life beyond Edin and the state of the football club. Imagine we can stay up this season, and start next year, in League One, without Edin anywhere near the club? Is that a bit more short-term pain?

If you don’t want to believe JR’s return makes a difference that’s your prerogative. But after speaking to him he is doing everything he can to rescue this situation and stop us going down this horrible dark path. As you say, the club you love is in trouble. I share your loathing for Edin, so why not get behind someone who is actually trying to fix it?

    Jason

If you think the months and months of articles criticising Edin Rahic means WOAP is backing the owners than I suggest you try reading the site. We have a long back catalogue of articles slamming the owners.

Thanks mate and great to meet you at the Darby Night the other week.

I had a couple of texts from Edin last Friday and he said he was going to ring me this week, but hasn't. I don't expect him to now to be honest.

I take your point completely about packing out VP. It is a challenge, but let’s look at it another way. This is JR’s idea, and if it comes off it demonstrates to Stefan just where the problem lies.

    Hi Dennis

Might be my styling not making it clear. Has Edin disappeared? No. So he is at the club alongside Julian. But who is steering the wheel and making decisions? My understanding is it is Julian.

For me another unresolved issue is whether or not our owners are taking money out of the club to finance their ownership, and whether this will continue irrespective of Rahic's official position or involvement in day to day matters.

Doesn’t really matter what Julian is doing IMO. He might as well be sweeping the floors for as good as he is going to do. Letting people in for a quid is just not cutting it for me.

Is Julian pumping some money in to make sure we can overhaul the squad in Jan? Is he going to pay off some of the current crap we have turning out for us? I’m guessing the answer will be no.

Will he be re-recruiting all the old staff that Edin got rid of?

Will he be cutting the 1.4mill deficit we are facing?

What about Rupp? I thought he was coming to the UK.. Where is he? What’s his plan? What’s the long term plan with Rhodes at the club? He can’t make the players better, he can’t make any key decisions unless Edin says so.

You say Julian is making the decisions.. well what are they? Sacking Abbott would surely be job 1!

What makes you think Edin will be gone? Elaborate please!

Once again there are just far too many questions than answers. I don’t really see what has changed at all.

In fact this week its been, Edin came back from Germany with two random trialists, the GK coach has left/sacked and that we are on the brink of admin. That all seems pretty standard Bradford City to me.

Rhodes messed up selling the club to these two clowns. Due diligence works both ways but him and Lawn can't have done much. You'd do well to find two worse people to sell our club to.
