The transfer fee has not been disclosed but Dunfermline confirmed "a mutual compensation agreement had been agreed" and said they had received offers from a number of English Football League clubs for Longridge.

"Jackson had a consistent season last year and he has attracted quite a bit of attention in the close season," said Dunfermline head coach Steve Crawford.

"We felt that we could not stand in his way to join a club the size of Bradford. It could kick-start his career by giving him the opportunity to go down and play in England."

Deffo a wait and see signing, no idea why people think he is going to be ace while the lad from Walsall will be rubbish. Remember the last set ofvsignings from the Scottish Championship?

We'll have to wait and see. There will be a lot of div 2 players capable of playing at a higher level. Plymouth were div 2 when Barnsley signed Hourihane from them. He will be in the prem next year. Don't know if Luton were div 2 or conference when Peterbro signed the lad who ran us ragged 2 seasons ago. They sold him for a hefty fee to Derby. For now, let's live in hope.

 

For me, I’m genuinely reserving judgement on every single one of our signings. Last season was such a mess - the signings I was pleased with in the summer we’re generally crap and those I was underwhelmed with were the only ones that came out with any credit at all.

He could have and should have been playing for Livingston in the Prem. No idea why he came to Dunfermline other than the opportunity to play with his brother. He likes to get forward and he's effective when he does. He gets back fast too.
Top scorer for us last year - from defence lol. Tells you how bad our season was. He would have scored more at our level if he had a team round about him. We cleared out 13 chancers. Jackson was one we wanted to keep. We lost a wad last year so the fee has been a blessing. Must have been a decent amount because we have paid a fees for a few players we were not expecting to afford. Latest gossip is £300,000 but no confirmation.
Yep you got a decent player. I hope he produces the goods.

Ah, I see why we were on different lines.
I mentioned McCartan in response to “I hope that in and amongst our summer business, we sign someone who can take a free kick“.

Whereas you thought I was referring to your second point “I can't remember the last time we scored a direct free kick, and our set pieces last season were shocking“.

So when you responded with McMahon, I thought you were saying you’d want him back as the player to take those set-pieces, rather than he being the last one to score one.

It seems a bit high to me alright but several teams wanted him and we certainly seem to have found a fair bit of cash.

 

Probably Edin’s stash that was found stuffed down the sofa.Thats the overspend he was hiding for himself and wasn’t actually players wages.
