Hope the Away shirt or 3rd kit is better, because that,s awful

 

Hmmmmm not sure about it. Someone on Twitter said the JCT 600 is too high and I agree.

Worst thing is the collar, but don’t mind the white shorts and trim.

 

All I can say is that I hope it brings us as much success as it did last time we wore similar. Not a fan of hoops myself though

 

Thats the way it is unfortunately - thats why the club wanted to update the badges.

 

Think a black collar /trim and shorts would have been better personally.

 

Its a 120 year anniversary shirt so having black collar and trim wouldn't make sense.

I dont actually mind the shirt. Better than I thought anyway. And its for 9 months so doesnt really matter.

Even Cookie doesn't look happy with it, no wonder they've delayed the reveal I bet he wouldn't have signed a new contract if he knew he had to wear that!!

 

I’m annoyed its £55 when we have 16,000 season ticket holders. Ive had a look around and the only club as expensive as ours is MK Dons. The average price is coming out at £46 and those clubs theoretically should sell far less shirts than us.
Grimsby have priced theirs up at £46 but you get a tenner off if you’re a season ticket holder which is a great deal.
The club seem to be trying to milk the fans at the moment with various little things.

Bet the club slightly worried the reaction lots of people not feeling it, I know the club bank on flogging lots of shirts and the general feel is that this will be a flop. Hope they haven’t shot a revenue stream in the foot with a poorly received shirt.

I get that they wanted to replicate the 1903 kit, but we’ve done that before.

Shorts are nice.

Looking forward to seeing the away and third strip. Hope they are an improvement. Go wild or something out of the box a bit.

 

Much , much prefer that photoshopped mock up posted yesterday. The true offering is trying to be 1920’s retro and it’s not worked imho.

 

It’s the cheap season ticket effect.. argument is cheaper tickets more to spend on merchandise and other club schemes. As we get no funding from our owner they have to milk every marketing
/sales opportunity. I actually feel for the marketing team as I don’t think there is much more they can sell/squeeze

 

The article says we've moved the price up because of a raise in costs from the supplier...... surely the other Macron teams have the same costs? Gillinghams shirts this year are truly awful, but still £46. Grimsby are still £46. The Sheff weds ones are bad too but are £65 a shirt or £72 if you want long sleeves.

I'd guess it's pricing due to demand, Blackburn are due to release their shirt this week and this paper said they have ordered 15,000 shirts from Macron to be made. Imagine we sell at a similar number to their fan base? Wrexham sold the most Macron shirts last year for a UK team outside the prem and they are selling at £55.

 

It won't make any difference.Those that normally buy shirts will buy this anyway,and if the team are doing well,that will shift a lot more.

 

Be a bugger keeping that collar clean throughout the whole season

 

Don’t really like hoops but like this for some reason, think it’s because the hoops are slimmer than last time. Like it much more than I expected to.
