    I was in the club shop today, chatting to the staff about our various kits.
    I said that I’ll never buy another City striped shirt again if it has a bloody great blank patch on the back for the name and number.
    I was told that the EPL/EFL have backed down on that rule under pressure from a number of high profile clubs who’ve always worn stripes (Newcastle, Southampton, Sheff Utd, Sunderland, WBA etc) who feel that it destroys the integrity of their traditional shirts. So, in future, City striped or hooped shirts won’t need to have a plain back.

    3 kits are not needed.
    Main kit should be worn at ALL GAMES, home and away, unless a colour clash occurs, in which case the away team changes to their second strip....how it used to be.

    Here we go @Onside@Onside with Bradfords answer to the "Colosseum" our very own Listers Mill Chimney, this is the shirt you were quoting @Tennesseebantam@Tennesseebantam, I'm sure Macron are capable of incorporating the chimney in a mostly Claret shirt with Amber trimmings maybe the White strips down the arm and collar could be Black in remembrance of 85.

    Tell that to Newcastle, Sheff Utd & Sheff Weds, Hudds, Exeter, Juventus etc.
    Stripes should be our tradition and we should keep them, selling shirts is immaterial.

    Sports clothing has to be one of the biggest if not the biggest percentage mark up profit business in the world. Take the sponsor and club badge off and they'd retail for about £15/20 quid in an outlet store and even then they'd making a ridiculous mark up. Football, directly and indirectly, is one of the biggest businesses in the world now.
    Ticket prices, merchandise, Tv subscriptions, the game is far removed from the humble beginnings of a working class sport to entertain the millions of workers on a Saturday afternoon.

    This is a thread to discuss the club's new kits. Unfortunately it has deteriorated into an opportunity for some to trade personal insults. Let's get the thread back on track for the benefit of everybody without the need for further personal insults. Hopefully the club will be making an announcement on the new kit in the very near future.

    For those who want to continue trading insults, further posts which continue with personal insults will be removed from the thread along with the poster.

    I might be in the minority but I like it and will probably buy it. I totally get the complaints about it looking like a certain neighbour's RL shirt and also about the price. However, if you don't want to buy it then you don't have to. We all like different things and perceive value differently. Vive la difference!

    Just had a text saying this season's home shirts are back to hoops, If they are let's hope they bring us the same success they did for the team that wore them in the 2012/13 season.

    If incorrect don't shoot the messenger but the info came from the same source as the Brentford rumour.

    I would think what Man Utd & Arsenal fans pay for their season tickets what Adidas are asking for £80 for these replica shirts, or £110 if you want the authentic shirts wouldn't be a problem, as @Rogered Tart@Rogered Tart says the game is far removed from the humble beginnings of a working class sport to entertain the millions of workers on a Saturday afternoon. although we Bradford City fans have been very lucky with the deal Julian & Mark started way back in 2007 which Stefan has continued, and for that I thank them all.
