What age are you saying 80 ?

 

Matter of opinion, I guess. I wear a city shirt to matches but I think it looks juvenile on grown men in non matchday situations.

 

I am in my seventies and I wouldn’t wear a replica shirt prefer one from the leisure wear

 

All my shirts remain folded up in a case in my wardrobe. I add to it now and again with some vintage ones bought from Ebay. Sometimes if I'm bored, I'll spend a day wearing one. On "special occasions" I let the Mrs wear one to bed I Do the same with England shirts. It's been nice getting the shirts out this past month and letting my son have his pick for the England matches. Hopefully he'll do the same when we eventually come over for a city match. Sadly, I don't have the one this new shirt is based on in my collection!

 

When I first started being interested in football in mid 60s Sheffield Wednesday played in solid blue with white sleeves, a bit like Arsenal only in blue

 

I like City in the white kit, we played in white from 1978/79 season until 1984/85. Hope it continues for a while because there’s only so much you can do with claret and amber stripes

 

Had some great times on holiday when I've worn City shirts during the day the best holiday being after we'd won promotion to the Premier.
In the Dominican Republic about 10 couples around a table men talking football, many of them supporting Premier League clubs and all wishing us well for the coming season.

 

On holiday, I always pack a pair of City shorts.

 

It's nice to see we've so many fashion guru's on here telling folk what they should or shouldn't be wearing.

Perhaps the GQ or esquire forums might be the place for you gents if you ever feel you're too trendy for a football forum.

You need to grow up mate.

 

Wide stripes, narrow stripes, pin stripes. A stripe is a stripe when all said and done. We have zero reason to have stripes , the white is a nice refreshing change.
