Definately. It will be a white kit with a strong presence of claret and some amber thrown in.

What was the away kit in 81/82??? Im guessing maybe an all amber strip with a claret trim.

Third might be claret. Although we not had a black kit for a few seasons

 

Well then, if it’s white, It could also commemorate the promotion winning 84/85 shirt. Brave move if so.

The word “unique” worries me. Means its ad hoc and not a generic shirt. I’m thinking names or something like that intertwined into the design. They’re already doing that for the loyalty club members shirt, so maybe the first team shirt too. Unique also means standalone, so maybe the shirt isn’t modelled on any previous kit at all. Unique also generally means not liked, quirky, individual!

Fair play to Ryan, he’s certainly got people talking!

Not got me talking. In truth he needs to have a strong world with fake Nike and tell them this isn’t good enough in terms of getting the new kit out to us.

Pre Season training has started and fans can’t even buy or know what the home shirt looks like. That’s poor.

However, unless you have a 6 pack like me or are under 40 like me why would you care what the kit looks like?

 

You continously misplace the word anniversary! 84/85 was 37 years ago!!! Sparks has said its to commemorate an anniversary. 37 years is hardly a solid marketing tool!

You are right about unique - but I think Sparks could simply mean it is white. Its 37 years since our last white home shirt so i guess in modern times it is pretty unique.

 

Maybe he has? Production issues cited. I think with the pandemic and restrictions on manufacturing/production a small delay can be excused this year. Anyway, Monday it is....

Sounds to me he wants to launch with stock available. We have launched early in the past without stock and it has backfired.

If folk want a shirt they will buy it whether its June 12th or July 12th though.

Yes, some will no doubt just buy and no doubt the club will run we have out sold sales on kits more that last season like every bloody club seems to say each season but in truth shirts should be out earlier to fully maximise sales.

Anyway, Monday it it. Let’s see what it looks like.

 

Football fans are tribal. If the design appeals and the price is right they will buy. Its not like the majority of Bradford fans are going to go and buy another teams shirt instead!!!

Launching in June or July makes very little difference. First and foremost folk want their shirt for the opening game. They have 4/5 weeks.

Creating hype and most of all anticipation also helps drives sales.

 

In his latest sound bite, he doesn’t mention anniversary. Rather a “story retold”. I was referring to that.

 

I think he tweeted it....anyway, 84/85 isnt really a story to retell or commemerate.

Ok and you continue to believe that our core supporter base who are the bread and butter of shirt sales will go and buy another teams shirt instead because they have to wait an extra couple of weeks.

 

Not saying they will go out and get the bloody Leeds top. What I am saying is that you want more sales and to do that you have to maximise awareness at the earliest window because you then have influencers that might encourage others to buy it.

Look, not every the club has doing is perfect and I am sure unlike you Ryan understands that the kit needs to be launched earlier in future.
