Callum Roberts please. We were in for him before but he got offered a better deal at County to stay. A goal scoring wide man. 13 this season.
We will probably end up with Matty Palmer or Adam Chicksen though. The Evidence, Rogered Tart and WilsdenBantam like this. -
I wonder if one of the players Gent and MH/RS were talking about at the time was Zach Hemming? Goalkeeper who has just won the Scottish Championship with Kilmarnock, won their young player of the season and was the GK in the Scottish championship team of the season. Kept 15 clean sheets in 36 league games for Kilmarnock.
They said in the Boro paper that Gent was there to watch Hemming lift the trophy the same weekend Hughes said the new guy is in place, they just had to wait a while to announce. Given we know they were initially in contact regarding loans for next season, seems like Gent is either really diligent and completed his work with the young lads even when he was already signed and heading out the door, or maybe they were starting the conversations about the keepers next loan move?borderlescott, Inspector and Botswana Bantam like this. -

So a new head of recruitment. Let's hope it turns out better than the last one eh Mr Sparks. Can't comment on him or his job yet as he hasn't done anything, the proof as always is in the eating. I expect a better quality of recruit bought to the club wether that be youth or first team, and also players with an eye to the future. I also expect promotion next season on the back of the signings brought to the club.

Sounds like another move in the right direction and also seems to be with a medium to long term plan as well, which is what we have been saying is lacking at the club.
I am hopeful that next season we can make more of a challenge for promotion and if that can be done whilst bringing down the average age of the squad then that could bode well for further progression up the leagues as we can keep the team together and just add more quality as we build around a solid team-Harrogate have proved its possible.Stop hovering to collapse...
