We only need the facilities 23 times a year so of course its mainly for the local community, otherwise it would be a massive waste.

Its the Bangladesh community centre behind the T L Dallas stand.
They have a sports hall and hard surface playing area . All in need of an update. Its a great idea for everyday use and by fans on matchdays. It will also build on the links between the club and their neighbours , grant funded as well.

I think it's fair to say that it's much more than that, it's a facility for the local community and Bradford City Football Club is part of that local community.
Well done to all involved in getting this off the ground.

A fair point, surely Multiculturalism should be inclusive for all groups, rather than one having restrictive rules?

The fan zone part is just a smoke screen, it will be mainly for the local people not football fans, makes it sound more inclusive.

Last time I was in Hunslet, we went in here, which would be right up your street (plus a few more on here).

Bugger that. It's much quicker to turn up Queens Road, left onto Midland Road and right onto Hamm Strasse when driving into Bradford. Cuts out several sets of lights and lots of traffic on Canal Road and the lower end of Hamm Strasse. You leave my rat run well alone please!

We should have a fan zone in main stand in one of the suites, Went to Carlisle last year and was surprised buying a stand ticket gave you entry to the fans bar upstairs, Great range of beers and pies etc and was rammed with customers with large screen TVs etc, Must have taken a fortune over the bars as it was non stop and was a great place for fans to meet as it would be both good for the club financially City should look in to it

Absolutely, I just heard a program on Radio Four with millenials and generation Z's all claiming that their generation are worse off than their parents and their prospects are poor because of us. Deluded fools should get off their arses and work for it.

I said weeks ago, shut off Midland Rd to vehicles between 1200 -1800 (Sat game) and turn into into a pedestrian zone only. It’s a no brainer . Safe and secure and separated from traffic

Midland Road is already closed to through traffic on match days with barriers and stewards to stop traffic unless accessing the disabled spaces behind the ground

A lot of the local community don't drink alcohol for religious reasons, something that needs to be taken into acccount when trying to attract new fans.

I think some restaurants are run by people of Indian origin, so Hindu's and Sikh's, who do not have an issue with alcohol
and some by Pakistni's who are obviously muslim and do not serve alcohol, although i am not sure that is all of them.

Sikh weddings great food, dancing, music and a free bar. There was a large vodka chaser with every pint too.

Me neither, I park at the Beehive (where @Bigrod@Bigrod also parks his nice BMW) and before that used to park behind the flats off Wood Street (near Kwikfit), near Haighies or anywwhere I could get in on/ around Lumb Lane. I've never had a problem with damage to my car or been accosted/ hassled walking around the area. I'd walk down Lumb Lane on a non match night and feel perfectly safe.

Bradford is as safe as any big Northern City, probably a damn sight safer than walking around anywhere in NE Manchester/ Ancoats etc at night.

Saying it's not safe, with no evidence, is just feeding the media/ BBC lies that Bradford is a hell hole.

I too have parked in Manningham for several decades without the slightest problem, first just off Lumb Lane and latterly in a ginnel off St. Paul's Road. On one occasion my usual spot was taken and I had to park in a street nearby. As I got out of the car I noticed a huge bloke standing in the doorway of the house outside which I'd parked. He was dressed in traditional Asian gear and only needed a large sword in his belt to complete the picture of a warrior from the foothills of the Hindukush. He was looking unhappy.
'You going to City?' he said.
'Yes,' I replied with some trepidation, wondering what was coming next.
His face then broke into an enormous smile.
    'Hope they win,' he said.

Fair distance from that area. In the middle of a 60’s/70’s housing estate! In the middle of nowhere. We went to it, when we did a mini pub crawl and a visit to the Royal Armouries museum. So south east of the centre. https://whatpub.com/pubs/LEE/70/garden-gate-leeds
