New Coach - Michael Collins

The 3 year contracts must include some kind of get out of jail clauses, because otherwise if it goes tits up soonish, it will cost a shit load of money to pay them off. Unless of course this is how they are being paid.

 

I feel sick!! I’ve tried to be positive throughout the last 6 months and really thought we were making some positive progress with the recent signings and actually taking the time to appoint a new coach but this is just a kick in the teeth.

I will give them 100% support but have a feeling that it will all be down hill from here

 

No one else will have him

 

It makes you wonder how this will effect player recruitment / retention going forward.

 

I give my backing to the new team as I have no option. New coaches have to start somewhere and I wish them well. If we make a slow start then it’s going to be toxic. The new guys aren’t going to get a honeymoon period unfortunately. They need to hit the ground running.
If they don’t Then the club is going to be damaged for years to come until R&R leave.
I renewed which was a borderline call at the time....

 

If this circus gets off to a bad start it could turn nasty at VP.

 

Only if Edin's paying them more than peanuts. Which is unlikely.

Even those two clowns can't put a positive spin on this.
I was in the "give Edin a chance" camp but, I'd happily have a refund for my 3 season tickets if I could.

You're right, of course, but even I have to admit it's a bit of a tough one to take after 6 weeks. 6 weeks doing what exactly? If they'd done this straight away I could have gone with it, young coach starting out, they all have to start somewhere etc. but after 6 weeks, just asking for a fan meltdown.

It’s clear every applicant worth their salt have sat down and listened to Edin and have decided to walk away. These appointments are yes men. It’s that simple. It’s completely indefensible I’m afraid. Our club is quickly becoming an absolute joke and I for one am completely gutted by this appointment. McCall, PP and Grayson must be absolutely pissing themselves

 

Is this Drury's second promotion within the month?! Who now does the new job he'd been given only a few weeks ago?! :S

 

No need to apologise, i actually feel sorry for people who stood up for Rahic, hell even i posted last night that i thought people were mad to think he would appoint Collins as head coach. What on earth is he thinking, this is a complete PR disaster. No wonder we couldn’t sign a new manager in seven weeks, no one was daft enough to take the job. I’m guesing Collins was the only candidate who wanted the job. God help Rahic if we have a bad start to the season.

 

Unbelievable after all the hype, but good luck to the backroom team.
If they have the know how, the board now need to provide them with the right tools
I.E. sign some decent players in

 

That's all well and good .............. BUT ..............
The first time City end the first half a goal or two down ............ WHO is going to motivate the players ?
Sorry, but first and foremost you need to have both faith and respect for your Boss - I can't see any of that within this 'team' !!
