    Ozil has been Suspended by Fenerbahce which pretty much guarantees he'll be leaving in the summer, if not before. Now he's at the back end of his career, and with his newly established football academy based in Bradford / at VP, might it be possible to reach out to him and see if he fancies a season or 2 helping the club and City develop on and off the pitch, especially now that he has business interests here, and the local population will certainly be more endearing to his Uighur views, which will create an even bigger support network for the club.

    This is the time for Rupp to go the extra mile 'as a proud custodian' and use his German links to reach out to Mesut's representatives, and, with the promise of working under a manager who has managed at PL level, why not just go for it. If you don't ask you don't get.

    I don’t think he’s good enough for PL level now. He was struggling at Fenerbahce, and the Turkish league is probably Championship level at best.

    The lad might fancy a challenge, be great to get him in the building and see him pull up some trees. He's a good lad, I've asked around, exactly the sort you want in the dressing room around the lads. Might be a bit of a reality check in League Two haha but seriously, he's got good ability.

    Sounds like a realistic piece of business to me.

    Can't see any reason whatsoever why Ozil wouldn't jump at the chance to move from Madrid/Arsenal/Fenerbahce to Bradford City.

    I would have to ask would you really want him? He seems to more and more be evolving into Balotelli in that sure he is a great player but he causes more trouble than he performs on the pitch. Plus he often seemed to struggle with the English physicality at Arsenal and the PL isn't half as physical as league 2.

    And finally, you can't even take advantage of Cooke's chance creation, so your Strikers are never going to take advantage of Ozils

    It’s clear from reading the responses on this thread that our fanbase has a defeatist attitude.
    Yes it might be a fantasy signing but why shouldn’t we have dreams and push the boundaries of what we think is achievable.

    We couldn't even come close to signing Kieffer Moore lol, and when we were playing in the same division as him, didn't come close to getting Billy Sharpe either.
