I've actually noticed Simon's reports of late and though i'd detected little digs at the club.
You don't always see eye to eye with reporters but Simon I feel is speaking for the general Bradford City supporters.
If this is true it's a disgrace and I don't care what anyone at VP thinks of my views as it's how I feel.
How can you tell a Bradford City Icon and a model professional like Stuart he's welcome any time at VP then try exclude him.
I've seen some things in my time since 1960 at VP but this is a new low.
If there's a big self destruct button at VP then someone in charge as just hit it with a sledge hammer.

"His appearance at the club for Sky duties last night – his first since being sacked two months ago – had been the pre-match talking point amid strong suggestions that the owners were not happy with the broadcasters over his presence."
That's somewhat different from his original assertion and does lend credence to your suggestion. No mention of the club trying to ban him and nor any mention of his source who provided him with the original information. Hopefully this is the end of this silly sideshow and Parker will be a little more careful in the future in his choice of headlines.Fools Gold, Batmanbantam, Nick_W_ and 1 other person like this. -

Safety??? Sounds like an answer you'd give when you've been put on the spot, and just blurt out something, anything. I don't think Stuart's in any danger. Now as for others...
Kick-off approaches, the DJ plays some Tenpole Tudor: "Hoo-ra hoo-ra hoo-ra-ay, over the hills with the swords of a thousand men" rings out through VP. Suddenly, out of the mists appears Stu, claymore in hand, to lead the charge. The Shrews are put to the sword; Stu disappears back into the mists. The DJ plays "First we take VP, then we take League 1." Simon gives a positive post-match press conference, and all our fora settle down a bit.

I was really full of optimism when the new owners took charge I like the philosophy they have and I still think they have good intentions but by Christ someone needs to grab Edin by the scruff of the neck and tell him to think things through before he does stuff.
I can understand why he doesn't want him there we need DO to move on but he must have known even a hint of this would cause unrest. Trying to Stop Stuart coming to VP is plain stupid.Tennesseebantam and Onside like this. -
Yes I too think Stuart should have passed on this one, just too soon, but he no doubt has bills to pay. However, rather than ringing Sky, why not ring Stuart and have a civil conversation about the situation: Stuart under no circumstances would want to disrupt our team and the fans, and always wants the best for our club. Too grown up??
As far as the meal is concerned, I don’t think that is disrespectful in any way, just saying goodbye to a few of the players. It happens when someone leaves. The owners need to get over themselves on that one.
Huddersfield Town owner: well unless he is about to pump money into our club like he has with them he should also keep his own counsel, and bypass his personal view of events. It’s called discipline.Silverbantam and Rogered Tart like this. -

I guess it is up to the Club to clarify the situation on its own Web Site. It would just be another issue which tends to alienate supporters, if it is true.

Simon Parker wouldn't have even reported this 3 months ago with fear of upsetting the owners. Looks like he's also got an axe to grind....

I'm getting very disillusioned about our club at the moment and this is just another sorry episode in the long line of bloopers happening at VP.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Halifax Bantam likes this. -
Apparently Stefan has said, 'I’ve no problem with Stuart but the question we had was from the safety point of view'. http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/16155309.Bradford_City_chairman_denies_trying_to_ban_McCall_from_TV_duty/#comments-anchor
Frankly that sounds somewhat bizarre! Just what is the 'safety' point of view? Where and what is the 'risk'?
Will those of us going to the game be at risk?
As someone who is asked to summarize, why should there suddenly be 'safety' issues?
Why are they only raising this after the announcement of Stuart in that capacity?
Surely 'due diligence' would have seen this being addressed as soon as the fixture was announced.Halifax Bantam likes this.
