Matt Hancock

There is a lot wrong with politics in this country and the Matt Hancock situation is only a small part of it. In fact the Tories as a whole are only part of the problem. Almost all the criticism levelled at the Tory government is valid but that just shows how poor Labour and the Lib Dems are in opposition, you can only go so far blaming the bias of the media because most of the mainstream media is anti Tory and certainly anti Brexit. As my Dad used to say when I asked him who I should vote for, "they all p*ss in the same pot" .
With certain exceptions in each party that statement probably holds some truth even today.

 

As Dylan sung "the times they are a changing" or so Sir Ed Davey thinks he believes the Bye election win was in his words “The Tory ‘blue wall’ is beginning to crumble, your dad was right you just need to work out which party will p*ss on you the least.

Do you believe the Tories will lose the next general election, not a chance in hell, as 1975citygent posted the other two parties are in turmoil, the Lib/dems will never be forgiven for their time in coalition when they back tracked on student fees and then said they didn't recognise the referendum vote, and with regards the Labour party who knows what then stand for.

It tickled me when I saw it on face book, I agree looking at different governments around the world it's frightening with some lunatics in powerful positions, you'd think with what we are going through it would have brought the world together it seems to have countries against countries, our vaccine is better than you're vaccine blah blah blah, I worry for my grand kids future.
With regard Dylan what didn't he sing about, strange man but great singer/song writer.

A very creepy strange man who I can only think is slightly on the spectrum. There’s an interview him with a woman outside a hospital and he is about an inch away just starting at her. Not normal behaviour. Let’s be honest politics in this country is really in the pits , no leaders to be seen anywhere but is that what society is like now ? Everyone scared to say the wrong thing. Wasn’t it like this in 1939 ?

Hancock had plans to take control of the NHS away from the civil service and have more direct control, The Civil service was hugely against this plan to take power away from them, It may be they decided to get rid of him instead, Not excusing his behavior but someone decided to whistle blow and record video in a private office

 

The recording of the video is the most worrying part of this. Obviously it was leaked to the press etc but images such as the one of Hancock could quite easily be used for blackmail purposes which is a whole different can of worms. They need to find out who took and released the recording as a matter of urgency.

If this CCTV footage wasn't leaked, we would still have this hypocritical shithouse pushing restrictions upon us whilst doing as he pleased. You reap what you sow.

 

I'm not saying there aren't benefits to what happened just that the security breach has bigger implications and needs to be sorted very quickly.

 

My daughter is current off school for 10 days as someone in her class tested positive. Shame she isn't a Scottish footballer or her class would be carrying on as normal. She's probably good enough to get in the squad.

 

"A private office", well seeing as I could have been fined for having someone in my private house I think it's fair play.
