Happens every season.
Players not playing are always better than the starting eleven.
It will be Cooks fault that Chapman has consistently failed to even hit the target on numerous occasions this season.

Posted this on the wrong thread, basically I don't necessarily think this is a match made in heaven by any stretch, it's a matter of convenience for Hughes to get his name out there and somebody, when given all that has gone on previously, we weren't in a position to turn down.
- The thing with Hughes taking this job is that he cannot lose. If we got promoted his stock has risen, his name will be mentioned in certain circles and before long he would have got a championship job. Fail here and it doesn't matter a jot, as it was a final shot at being a coach/manager and countless other managers have failed here because we are a basket case.
He will also get free reign to an extent of what he wants simply due to his standing in the game, I can't expect too much challenge from sparks and rupp towards Hughes, they will still be creaming themselves due to the association, and lauding themselves with managing to attract him.
This won't be a long drawn out love affair with Hughes, it's decent chance for him, a shot to nothing, and to keep the coffers ticking over nicely for a couple of years.
We do well, he gets his move, things get sticky and he won't be that arsed and soon get fed up of crap he doesn't need

He doesn't seem to be up and running, which I suppose isn't surprising. Not really seeing any blinding pace or out of this world skill, but he does seem fairly direct.

The fixtures in Feb will sort this matter out - one way or the other. Where we are in the table on 1st March will pretty much be it I reckon. Mid table !

Can't see the tweet, but have seen FB posts linking him to Hartlepool. If I were him, and they matched my wages plus gave me an extra two years, I'd be off. Close to home, not playing here, 32 yo, no long standing affinity with Bradford City and out of contract in June. As a player it would be an easy choice.

The club has relied on the good will of its fantastic supporters for far too long to be treated in this way. League two year after year, big decisions, new managers, new players but unfortunately the same old story. Enough is enough. Happy to tread water mentality. Sparks gone quiet? Where’s he? The whole thing is a shambles!

If he is at the match then he better be 1) learning about formation and playing style and 2) looking at a good striker and box to box midfielder ....

Obviously chose the money at Wrexham but I definitely agree that he would score goals at a higher level.borderlescott likes this. -
