Mark Hughes your football is...

Quite frankly at the moment, I don't care what his football is like as long as he gets us out of this horrible league

 

Hughes has been well backed both on the field and with regards fans digging deep once more into their pockets, to be fair it's been average at best, most believing we'd be playing better football than we've seen so far, IMO we have one of the best squads in league two that I don't believe Hughes is getting the best out of, but yes I'll take it if we can get out of this league.

 

Bowyer was potentially doing that yet he was sacked as folk didn't like his football. We were third a couple of weeks before his sacking

 

And Cook could be gone too

 

What am I missing that makes that account likely to be accurate?

Can't see the tweet, but have seen FB posts linking him to Hartlepool. If I were him, and they matched my wages plus gave me an extra two years, I'd be off. Close to home, not playing here, 32 yo, no long standing affinity with Bradford City and out of contract in June. As a player it would be an easy choice.

 

Get ready for the Hughes interview, Andy was very much a part of my thinking with regards the second half of the season but I couldn't guarantee him a start so he preferred to take his chance and go to Hartlepool I didn't want to stand in his way .

 

You forgot the bit about us paying up his contract....

 

Yeah we've already been softened up for this in the very Bradford City way ....

 

Until recently I've been 100% behind Hughes but hearing his post match interview against Stockport and picking players who really shouldn't be starting I'm begining to question if he can get us up this season, I'm not suggesting he's in danger of the sack but I'm getting more and more frustrated with regards his team selections and our resent performances.

 

I think we agree Broncs that the issue is he has brought in loan players who might be from a higher division, but who are not fit or match ready. I just don't see the point. If they were permanent signings then I could possibly see the reasoning, but there is absolutely no point in bringing in loan players in January if they are not ready to make an immediate impact.

The one player who has looked ready was Nevers, but was he even on the bench at Stockport? I also thought Clayton did OK.

 

It will be nothing short of a miracle if Hughes gets us promoted this season. Any honest man can see that it is highly unlikely, particularly following the movements of this transfer window. I personally believe we will be lucky to finish mid table.

 

If Andy Cook goes as has been reported on social media
I for one Will be calling for Mark Hughes & Ryan Sparks to resign with immediate effect
If they Stay I will not be renewing my season ticket
It will show this club has no intention of getting out of this division

 

The group of us (6) who attend VP together, have all agreed we will not renew our season tickets next season if we don’t get promoted.

 

The club has relied on the good will of its fantastic supporters for far too long to be treated in this way. League two year after year, big decisions, new managers, new players but unfortunately the same old story. Enough is enough. Happy to tread water mentality. Sparks gone quiet? Where’s he? The whole thing is a shambles!

 

I don't think for a minute Cook will go but this is football and we know no player is irreplaceable, my worry is do we have a replacement lined up if Hughes was foolish enough to let his top goal scorer leave.

 

We could go back for Kristian Dennis at Carlisle flying this season with 16 goals and we know what pizza's he likes .
